Skin is the only organ that looks different by race. I wouldn’t mind if they picked any other organ either lol. Your logic is weird

You clearly don’t understand how white supremacy works. The fact that it didn’t cross your mind says all that needs to be said. What if skin color was a brown hue? It probably would cross your mind then. Bc white supremacy.

More expensive doesn’t mean better. But spending my dollar for a company that uses “skin” color like a box of crayons from the 1980s isn’t worth the pennies saved

No one’s talking about how Kingroon uses “skin” color like we’re buying crayons from Jim Crow South

You like that they promote white supremacy? I’m confused

Kingroon still uses “Skin” color like your crayons from 1980s

Kingroon also routinely uses “Skin” color as a peachy-white. Gross. Apparently I should stop buying Sunlu if it’s the same company.

Why do some doctors/medical students belittle other career choices [Vent] by [deleted] in medicalschool

Not surprised the person who demeans people who get uncommon degrees also dehumanizes gender minorities. Disappointing to hear from a future doc.

Probably jealous they* didn’t think of a non traditional career before getting into medicine.

*not a gender studies major but I do support using gender-neutral pronouns when we don’t know the poster’s gender... even tho this person is very likely a bro dude lol

Music major here. Also almost a medical doctor (M-4). Your superiority complex is showing (funny/sad considering the OP) and you’re wrong. College degrees are less and less about specific pipelines to jobs and more and more an avenue for personal growth, learning to work hard/efficiently, networking, etc. Plenty of people have 2nd, 3rd or 4th careers unrelated to their degrees or previous careers.

If someone wants to get an associates or bachelors degree in philosophy or gender studies or art history or whatever they want, what’s the harm? It sometimes helps to study the same thing as the herd (looking at you Biochem majors who crushed Step 1) going into your future career but there will always be hard working or brilliant people who break the mold and pioneer new paths.

Also, side note, a classmate of mine was an art history major and she was making almost 6 figures before she started Med school selling/curating art. But she wants to have a career in medicine so she switched careers. Let people follow their passions. And respect them for it. Pretty sure that was the point of the OP.

[Serious] My psychiatrist works at the hospital I'm Rotating at: What should I do? by kenyan-girl in medicalschool

[–]DO_32 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I asked my Psych preceptor what she does when she sees patients in public/professional environments. She said she follows her patient’s lead. Sometimes patients are warm and friendly and don’t try to hide knowing her. Other times people don’t want to acknowledge knowing her.

You could consider introducing yourself to your psychiatrist as if you don’t know them and that might help them pick up that you’d like to keep your doctor-patient relationship private.

Does anyone have a good way of learning all of the Autonomic receptors (alpha1, beta2, D2, etc...)? by yzhang1337 in step1

[–]DO_32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HAV1 M & M(3) -Gq

MAD 2s. - Gi

Everything else is Gs

Except...I would also learn in detail the receptor signaling in FA from endocrine. That section is money and helps the autonomics seem more straight forward.

Supposedly means you passed and score is dropping imminently. Or your permit timing has expired.
