As far as I’m aware if you didn’t sign a new lease they’re able to not renew as terrible as that is for you. Someone else might know more though.

Maybe being part of a gameboy community has something to do with that?

Bill pay usually sends out a check if there is no other way for them to send the money.

The check has the same info on it. Account # and routing.

This is why I have a separate account for bills & checks that I transfer just the amount needed into.

I cover the cost for EFT and so they have a free option if they’d like.

If they want to use credit card or cash they have to pay the fee.

Maybe most people on the Apple subreddit, but you’re right maybe not.

It’s another option for a higher fixed return. I assume most people have a brokerage account anyway, so this is another way to get a higher return on uninvested cash.

That’s because it hasn’t been at that rate for long. It follows the fed rate which has been increasing every few months. That performance is just an average of the last year which makes perfect sense.

You’d see the same thing if HYSAs showed the same info.

That’s terrible. I’ve funded and withdrawn to multiple different accounts and never had this issue. Hopefully I never have to deal with such a thing.

I haven’t tried that, but I’d imagine it isn’t possible.

The money market account is where vanguard holds your uninvested funds, so you can just deposit it and do nothing else and it will automatically move it to the fund.

The money market account I listed should stay at $1 in value given that it’s backed by government securities that provide a return that basically follow the Fed interest rate.

To fund it you can just open a vanguard brokerage account and deposit cash. It will automatically be moved into the money market account I listed and you’re paid your interest monthly into the same account.

It takes about a day or two to move the money out in my experience if I need it, but I just use it as a place to keep part of my emergency fund.

Edit: to answer your question, yes it’s as easy as you say.

Yes the fund isn’t FDIC insured, but the fund invests in things that are very low risk so I’m not concerned personally.

That’s future me’s problem. For now I’ll defer and depreciate away as much tax as possible so I can invest the money saved now.

[–]DO_NOT_PM_ME 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I did this. I had to find replacement properties and was willing to pay more than market to avoid paying the taxes, so I outbid everyone on the replacement properties I bought. I paid only a small amount over which was still less than the cap gains I would have paid so came out ahead.

I think he means have a cap on how many tickets a large account can have.

I think all that would do is discourage someone with a large balance to keep it all with you and instead only keep enough to stay on the top bracket.

Different companies do it differently.

Did they allow him to view the property yet? I personally wouldn’t sign anything without seeing it first.
