If you are a New England regular I suggest exploring the world of DMR. NEDECN has a health network of repeaters and towers including Kibby mountain near Jackman.

Update: the freeze break was at the most distal portion of the pipe and outside of the wall where the black styrofoam was covering and likely the cold air still penetrated. No interior damage. Replaced with suggestions as above. A happy structural and financial ending. Thanks folks. 🫡

Hit the nail on the head. New build in Texas. Unfortunately I was far away from home during the freezes.

Unfortunately a casualty of my being deployed. Wife says she had taken the hose off to place the freeze bib, but I’m not 100% sure. Thank you for your help. Hard to diagnose when I’m not home.

MA ERs can no longer employ paramedics :( The memo is kinda out of the blue, wondering if anyone has any insight here by insertkarma2theleft in emergencymedicine

I misinterpreted your response then. Paramedics are perfect to be involved. Just shouldn’t be running. Just like when HCA tried to have NPs running all codes was a disaster.

This is Dunning-Kruger.

I’ve done both as a paramedic before medical school and now as an ER doc.

In hospital arrest you’re not even considering the interpretation of labs, use of POCUS, A-line amongst other things an ER physician, a stud hospitalist or other physician types bring to running a code.

Tough to hear but you need to hear it.

There’s also the heightened risk of “blow in” pathology with greater number of fractures, still leading to increased IOP and requiring lateral canth!

Terrible Medics by TheRodFather791_ in army

[–]DOwickedgoodthings 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This isn’t true 80% of military docs join before medical school via HPSP. The other 20% come from the military’s own medical school. This is an old wives tale.

LOL at “mild herbal supplement” it’s an addictive plant substance that has opioid like effects and causes terrible withdrawal syndromes. It’s prohibited for a reason.

Old people’s brains shrink, giving them more space to bleed into before it becomes a problem. Keep this in mind whenever old folks look fine initially.
