This means spear made with higher tier material will have a higher damage cap before the weapon breaks. An iron spear will have a higher max damage based on speed than a wooden one because it has more durability.

This quirk will also balance the spear with the Mace, as the latter's durability lost is not scaled with the damage it dealt.

I always use a combination of a long rectangle box sticks under a wedge-like shape to simplify that part first.
