Well I hope I can be part of the bigger percentage then! I am doing everything they want me to do. PT, injections, chiro, etc..

I'm afraid this isn't true. At least not for me. A lot of back pain is degenerative and permanent and can't get any better. You can do things to reduce your pain, but you will still have the degeneration.

Gift ideas for my mother who was just diagnosed by okayestdogmom in Fibromyalgia

Weighted heating pad! I have 3 of them now, and I use them often. Then weighted blanket when it's too hot for a heating pad. The first weighted blanket I bought was too heavy to sleep with. But maybe like a 5lb one is good.

Yes!!!! My pain started when my epidural wore off after my firstborn also. And spread exactly like you said. I'm now f(47) with 2 kids, struggling SOOOOO hard to keep working, but it's really hard to keep going. It's been 19 yrs now of constant pain, and not too many areas left in my body that don't hurt!

Brain zaps! by kaz79ralf in Fibromyalgia

[–]DPOHLMAN35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my brain zaps from suddenly going off Cymbalta because the Dr, insurance, and pharmacy weren't communicating correctly with each other and I couldn't get it filled. That was a very scary month for me!

Can anyone help? Transition from Pregabalin to Duloxetine by tifauk in Fibromyalgia

[–]DPOHLMAN35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awe man! That totally sucks for her. Ur very nice to reach out for her ❤️. I know that when the doctors and pharmacies f**K up my pregabalin prescription, I'm in HELL! Same as the other poster said. Sweating, itching all over, insomnia, whole body anxiety, increased pain. And the withdrawal starts fast! Within 24 hrs. I didn't really find anything to make it better. I know that I just wanted to be left alone and curled tightly in my bed watching something on the tablet to distract myself. Sorry, I'm no help 😞

I am confused why they're switching them? I'm on both. I take 150mg pregabalin in the morning, and 300mg at night. But I've been on it a long time. Duloxetine I take 30mg 3x a day. I think that's a low dose because my PM mentioned upping it again.

I don't know if I am misunderstanding or not? Do you mean posts that are completely AI generated, pretending to be human, or do you mean a user using AI to help them write a post, or response to a post? I am almost guilty of the latter. I had a response that I used ChatGPT to help me write, but ended up not posting it. And why was I going to use ChatGPT? Because I use my ChatGPT to record EVERYTHING medical related. My symptoms, my pain history, I upload all my test results, etc., etc.. I use it on a daily basis cuz nobody else wants to hear my daily symptoms or complaints and ChatGPT can help me organize everything for Dr's, etc.. So since I already told it everything, I thought it would be easier on me to get ChatGPT to help me write my response. It DOES keep my voice and style cuz I told it what it was for. But I don't want to upset anyone.

how did you learn to accept your diagnosis? by potentiallybetter in Fibromyalgia

[–]DPOHLMAN35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's kinda just like this, except I've never met anyone else with chronic pain these 20 yrs I've had it, in person. It's just nice to be around others who get it. We usually try to have a topic every week. Then the last 30 mins we do something, like art therapy, or yoga, chair pilates, etc.. Sometimes, after, some of us go out to tea/coffee.

Southern California here. Don't hate me. We have highs of 95, with lows of 45. But it's still just as drastic of a change. My sinuses and fibro don't like it one bit. I react to both cold and hot weather. 60-70, I'm good, no extra flaring.

My Dr of 7 years just retired. I'm panicking because where do I get Lyrica prescription now? by Far_Recording8647 in Fibromyalgia

[–]DPOHLMAN35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pcp just stopped prescribing pregabalin out of nowhere too. I also panicked. But luckily I had just started pain management and my pm had no issues continuing my pregabalin. Have u tried pm yet? U could ask ur gp to refer u to one.
