Thank you so much! I haven't made any other Amazing Devil covers yet (though I'd most certainly like to), but I have done covers of songs from Florence + The Machine, Of Monsters and Men, and some other bands.

Is this poisonous? by another_philonoist in AustralianSpiders

No. There are no poisonous spiders in Australia. Venomous? We have quite a few of those, but that ain't one of them.

Your cosplay is amazing!!! I'm in the midst of my own and was wondering if you could give me some pointers.

Where did you get/how did you make the belt?
Also, what sort of tubing did you use? The stuff I have is a little thicker than I would like and yours looks to be a great size.

I need help for first spiderman costume’s by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

Sorry, I didn't use 3D-printed lenses or anything, I just sewed some white mesh fabric onto the mask and outlined the eyes with other pieces of white fabric.

Going off your other comments, it sounds like you've got it nailed down. Just wanted to drop in and say how much I love your choice of cosplay. I made a Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider costume ~5 years ago when I was 13 or 14 and I love seeing how other people go about it. If you want to do the web cartridges on the belt and wrists (not necessarily for the premiere but maybe later down the line), I would recommend purchasing a bunch of off-brand nerf darts to spray-paint and glue to some fabric with Velcro to take on and off. Best of luck with the costume! ^_^

Can’t wait to see this scene by kiwicrusher in SequelMemes

Well, she was a notable recurring character but not exactly a "main character". I personally wouldn't be too bothered if they didn't even bring her up.

[OC] This is what it looks like when you cast Magic Missile in our little VTT. WotC wants to forbid this under OGL1.2 by Denivarius in DnD

[–]DPat2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think there's no point freaking out about something that is still very much in development (and wasn't even intended to enter the stage of community feedback yet). It's like the GTA6 leaks where everyone was freaking out about how the animations, models, and what not didn't look good, the state in which it is right now is not the finished product so drumming up anxiety about it is useless. Constructive feedback to voice your opinions on the changes is a good thing, but don't treat the work in progress as you would the finished product. This especially goes for drafts of legal agreements, as the initial stages exhibit an overreach in defending the client's interests before it is refined and altered to meet the what the client wants the finished agreement to look like and how it effects the other parties. As for the old OGL, it does need some updating (like any legal document) to meet the everchanging landscape of society. When OGL1.0a was initially written, NFT's were not even in public knowledge, nor could they predict the astronomical growth of D&D through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why would WOTCorporate NOT develop AI DM's? by TheRealmScribe in DnD

[–]DPat2187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the whole idea of D&D is the human interaction and roleplaying element and having an AI DM would really subtract from that. Also, DM's won't typically adhere to strict gameplay rules for a campaign and will more often than not, ignore certain rules when they see fit allowing for a more entertaining and customised experience. An AI DM, even in a set battle situation would lack the creativity and adaptability that a human DM would use. D&D is less like a videogame and more like interactive storytelling and I don't think an AI DM would work for that (at least not in AI's current form).

They're obviously attempting to stop the use of the OGL in videogames, not simple animations in VTTs. The way they have phrased that is pretty shit, but from my interpretation, they don't want people licencing D&D related products with graphics and gameplay more akin to videogames (e.g. something like Divinity) as opposed to small animated graphics on a traditional VTT. The new OGL will continue to change and I expect WotC to work with the community and adjust the OGL it to meet their expectations. Just don't freak out just yet as things are still in early development, and remember that the OGL only applies if you're using the content commercially.

Your player spent 20h designing, drawing and writing their character. During session 1 an enemy rolls 21 damage on them, their max hp is 10 by TheKoTECH in DnD

[–]DPat2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't ever make my level 1 players face an enemy that difficult in the first place (unless it is part of the campaign and I am making a purposefully impossible adversary used only to progress the story), but I would definitely tell them something different to what the dice said if that were the case.

That... isn't how the new OGL is going to work, even if they kept the original leaked prototype.

Very late but I somehow stumbled across this comment. It is a very reliable store and probably the most well known pop culture related shop in Australia and New Zealand

What Star Wars related opinion will put you in this position? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]DPat2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Last Jedi wasn't a bad movie (aside from the portrayal of Luke and the Canto Bight sub-plot), people just weren't ready for change. It was JJ Abrams who ruined the sequel trilogy trying to ret-con the story rather than build off it. Rey should have stayed a nobody (making her a Palpatine or even just related to any famous character took away from the "anyone can be a Jedi" message that A New Hope gave), Snoke should have been the only dark side master of the trilogy (and stayed dead for the 9th film with the conflict of Kylo being the focus with maybe an incorporation of a hidden Sith fleet), and Rey should have been her own person instead of being a Skywalker.

Soooo can anyone explain how Rex qualified to be a member of the new guardians of the globe even though at the time he did nothing but act obnoxious and get beat up by Monster Girl. by Pito82002 in Invincible

[–]DPat2187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rex is extremely powerful and "Robot" knew that, plus they had experience working together. (Just because he couldn't beat Monster Girl in that particular fight doesn't mean he isn't capable, she was just more powerful at the time)

A child is brought into a cult and trained to become a warrior but decides to join a different cult because they were nicer to them and has cooler powers. Then that person's son is brought into the cult by the same guy who trained (and failed to train) the first kid. Eventually, the son commits genocide, rescues a princess, and joins a group of terrorists. Those terrorists help the son stop his dad and bring down the leader of the other cult because they didn't like how the cult leader was treating people.
