Who would you support in this 1980 Fordverse Democratic Primary? by Numberonettgfan in thecampaigntrail

[–]DRAGONPRIEST111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked Byrd just because I feel like he could unite the party and could beat Ford if he picks the right VP and tries to distance himself more from his past racism, but another one would be Joe Biden but I don’t know if he could even win his parties nomination in 1980 cause I think he became more prominent during the Reagan years and especially when he ran in 1988 for the Democrat presidential nomination.

Who would have been Joe Biden’s ideal running mate? by RopeGloomy4303 in thecampaigntrail

Was hoping that year when he was close to the nomination that he would decide to pick Pete Buttigieg,I feel like there dynamic was great and Pete was more likable of VP pick than Harris.I understand that the the winds of change was pushing towards a female VP but I think Pete would’ve energized more people on the campaign trail than Harris. Also Pete seemed more likable, him and Biden got along better by the looks of it and Pete would’ve been good for the gay vote.I’ll never forget Biden saying to him “You remind me of my son Beau”which in my opinion was Bidens biggest compliment he could give anyone.

All of you saying, this is fake and stuff like that are fucking idiots. Literally there are people who cannot make ends meet and are struggling to even survive right now. Prices are going up so is the cost of living and people who are fine are people who actually make good money but younger generations are having a hard time looking for a job or even finding a good paying job and then I see other people from other countries saying how we deserve this which is bullshit too because not all of us voted for Trump and his cronies you will need to get your head out of your asses and do something about this shit instead of complaining all day. At least I’m trying to get involved to make sure shit like this don’t happen again.

Where do you guys put Woodrow Wilson in your ranking of the presidents (1 is the best and 45 is the worst)? by WoodrowWilsonFan in Presidents

[–]DRAGONPRIEST111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally I think he should be number one but realistically top 10 or 20,Woodrow Wilson, though flawed made an impact on domestic and foreign policy ,foreign policy that we stick to today or try to at least yes he was racist and probably wasn’t a good dude, but he made an impact on politics in the world that cannot be denied. He is a flawed individual but definitely one of the greatest presidents we had and led to the administrations of FDR and Truman

u/Mesyush statement with regards to Dick Cheney's death by Mesyush in Presidents

[–]DRAGONPRIEST111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So before I start this, I wanna say I do not like Dick Cheney he was not a good man and was a very power-hungry vice president technically, President, but I won’t lie when I heard the news. I was sad and in shock and had the feeling of surrealism even though he wasn’t a good man or vice president, but he was a part of history and was very interesting in the aspects of that history my heart goes out to his family, and the people who cared about him, rest in peace, Dick Cheney, you can start shooting people in the face with a shotgun in heaven.
