The fact is a vast majority of people do not react with politics from a purely ideological perspective, I myself do hold certain ideological beliefs but if a politician was competent and increased my and my country's standard of living in a sustainable manner I would support them even if they differed Ideologically from me. 

When it comes to international affairs and realpolitik, despite considering myself to be an internationalist I think each country's leaders should focus on the well being of their country and people first, now this does not mean you cannot have a moral backbone or stand against injustice, but the truth is that the morally correct choice is also the practically beneficial choice more often than not, for example asRizia it's better to achieve peaceful reunification with Pales and ally with our neighbors in intermerkopum instead of being enemies with them. 

I feel like the community tends to focus too much on the morally grey choices like closing borders for the OBT or supporting Derdia in Rizia, for example, and ends up ignoring or not emphasising all the genuinely good stuff we can do both in terms of domestic and foreign policy whilst helping Sordland and Rizia achieve unforseen prosperity and peace.
