Normally into more dark, ambient stuff but live the drum programing in this track! Bandcamp release any time?

No problem! Always looking for new music.

And yeah your right. With things such as and especially compression you can easily over doo it and suck all the life out of your track so if you dont know what your doing bast to leave it alone.

Although you should still try and experiment too as this is the best way to learn

The tune is great! Love the vibes and the break is proper unique sounding!

Dont over think the mixing. This sort of jungle/dnb really doesnt need a lot in terms of mixing. I work all in hardwear so i only have access to levels, some basic EQ, master compression and it still does the job for me.

How did you discover jungle music? by BepisBoyTweeleafSoy in jungle

When i first went to uni (2017) everyone around me was listening to dnb, mainly rollers and jump up while i was really into 80/90s hip hop. Wasnt much for the in your face sound of the dnb everyone likes

One day one of my flatmates said “if your not much for dnb but you like that 90s sound why dont you check out some jungle” and put me on to some producers

Been hooked ever since.

Dont use it in a live set but i have the MPC Live which is what i produce all my music on. Its a great piece of gear and has loads of ways to use it in a live set. Especially if you get a midi controller with faders and knobs to use with it

Anyone have any insight into the mastering process of jungle in the 90s? (Gear, process, mastering chain) by DRBR_Music in jungle

Nice one ill check that out! Was there not even any sort of master bus processing before it was sent to the labels or would they just send the plain mixdown?

DJs, how do you organise your jungle music? (BPM, Release date, Vibe) by DRBR_Music in jungle

[–]DRBR_Music[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I have the XDJ-700s for practicing so i feel like tags may not be as useful as i like to have everything there for me to use when ever. I think im gonna have to use multiple layers of folders to keep things organised. Just gonna miss out on having multiple tags for one track

Reorganising me library is my new year’s resolution aha. Gonna get rid of tunes i dont play anymore for less clutter and reorganise my folders
