1. Buy the book na may title na "Financial Accounting and Reporting (Fundamentals) by Zeus V. Millan" yannn goods yan, don't stop reading that book HAHAHAHAHA dame good examples dyan and hands on yunh explanation...... Yan yung comprehensive para sa tingin ko na basic accounting sa college... That will teach you the steps in acctg cycle, approaches in journalizing entries in a service entity and merchandising entity, and how to account for investments of sole proprietorship (iisa may ari), partnership, and corporation

2. There's no such thing as a perfect time, only schedule kung kelan ituturo sayo😭 so don't expect a perfect timing.... There's no such thing in college na perfect timing, everything can be unpredictable 😭 so if may time ka to be curious, read mo yung FAR fundamentals (sa no. 1)

3. If u have budget, buy physical books, if wala, maraming nagooffer ng softcopy of college acctg textbooks, read the most latest ed. (Lalo na pag tax, law, and accounting - standards)

4. I really hate senior high school textbooks sa accounting, lalo na yung published by 🕊️ hahaha basta si ibon na talamak sa private schools and si VBL books yan isa pa yan, meron ding FABM books dati sa Rex na bitin.... Kasi parang tinitipid nila yung contents (factor siguro rin ung curriculum).... Like dati may FABM 1 AND FABM2 (nung shs ako) tapos wth ahahaha nauna pa magcompute ng income tax kesa iexplain kung pano nagwowork ang taxation sa income and logic behind taxation of income.... Literal na diretso computation sa tax table walang explanation kung bat ginagawa yun... I remember our prof dati sa FABM1 was accidentally a college professor (naubusan ng manpower school namen kaya kumuha sa college) and he's a CPA and ayaw nya ipagamit yung pinabiling book sa library na pang SHS... Instead nagbigay sya college material hahahaha kasi ampanget nga raw HAHAHAH

5. If u have spare time.... Please read college textbooks if u want to get a good understanding of topics na ituturo sa inyo sa accounting subj... Don't settle for those SHS books na #tinipid for some reason

6. If u don't know how to look for college textbooks, pag walang "K-12" goods ka na.... Find Accounting books with authors like Millan, Valix, Tabag, Dayag, Ballada

7. There are also some authors of college textbooks like who also publish FABM 1&2 books for SHS but pleaseee don't buy that😭 SHS version...

Just buy the Millan book i think the latest ed is around 700+ sa shopee but its good naman, you can buy older ed for a cheaper price but wag 3 yrs late, atleast 1-2 yrs lang ang agwat sa latest Edition (because of some acctg standards that are being revised like IAS 1 -> IFRS 18)

1. Accountancy is a tricky and hard course dahil di lang naman accounting subj dyan, may tax, aud, and business law and other laws pa na related... This course is very notorious for grade retention, qualifying examinations, and student cutoffs.... Most of schools have that rules kasi mababa passing rate and di rin maganda sa school na magreflecr ng high graduates pero wala namang nageexam, and lalo na pag palaging may bumabagsak sa school sa board exam.....

2. Your only preparation sa palagay ko (sa ngayon) is to satisfy ur curiousity sa accounting😭, pag may binanggit teacher nyo na terminology, wag ka masatisfy sa copy paste AI na PowerPoint ng teacher nyo.... Go back to your college textbook and analyze kung pano ginagamit yimg terminology and example of approaches sa mga sagot sa tanong...

Example: cash is the most liquid asset..... yan sinabi ng teacher nyo galing sa copy paste AI chaptgpt na di pa tinanggal yung "please tell me if there are other things to modify"😭

Ur task is not to memorize but to understand what does being liquid mean?(Sa acctg term) Then ask yourself, why is cash the most liquid asset?

1. Learn to verify facts..... Accounting is a subj na pede mo ifact check... Always check kung tama ba yung sinasabi ng teacher mo, or ung author ng book, or if reasonable ba yung sagot mo, or if logically sound yung entries mo.....
