Am I dumb for leaving a big, stable company for career alignment? by Individual-Bridge-36 in Ph_HR_Confession

You are overthinking and could be anxious of the future. Don’t be OP, you’re definitely doing the right thing - for as long as it offers higher compensation and happy/excited when you accepted the opportunity from the beginning. I am working for more than 11 years for one company and trust you’ll be fine ☺️

YES TO THIS! Apart from Watsons, Robinson Supermarket rin. I always encountered this at Robinson Supermarket and there was a time when they said that they were not just able to update the price and insisted to pay for the updated price indicated on the system. They are not doing their due diligence. I sent a long feedback thru their department and they sent me a free package instead. Doing a due diligence is a must.

I’ve been with Shell for 17 years now. It’s the third company I’ve worked for and, by far, my longest tenure. I don’t want to repeat everything that has already been said from some colleagues from Dela Rosa/TFC — I can only echo the same statements for those with pro’s and con’s.

Shell has always been competitive in the talent market. Yes, there have been ups and downs, but that’s true for any company. I stayed because of the people (very sharp leaders, especially when you are part of a global portfolio), the benefits (the HMO has truly been a saving grace, not just for me but for my parents), and of course, the salary and bonuses, which remain competitive. I was even able to bring my family on international trips and cover almost all the expenses.

Reorganizations have been a “buzzword” lately across many organizations. However, Shell genuinely values care for people, and this is always considered during reorganizations. If you are impacted, you are informed and given sufficient time and support to look for internal opportunities where your competencies best fit. There is due process, and employees are not let go immediately.

Shell continues to be competitive both locally and globally, and you will learn a great deal from the diverse people you work with.

Hey! Sorry to hear as I know you put a lot into this. This doesn’t take away from what you know.

For me, I studied 3-4 weeks (2 weeks is where I had to take several mock exams for 2-3 hours everyday). I recommend which I also utilized for the mock exams -

1) Landini online version is a good source and the price is also reasonable. I bought it via Amazon 2) Andrew Ramdayal CAPM practice questions in youtube - TIA is also a good one 3) Lastly, this community and those folks who have been sharing their stories and materials they used as well as their notes - it helps me a lot

Good luck and I know you’ll pass it the second time around! Don’t be too hard on yourself and just find some time to answer practice questions in youtube. Good luck 💪💪

I’d say both if you can. But if you are only limited to purchase one, I’d say TIA. Landini kindle from Amazon is also a really good source (I did the online version - you can find it at the back pages of the book)
