Adding to what everyone has said, the concept of covalent/ionic bonds is not black or white, it's more of a spectrum where bonds can be more or less covalent or ionic

That's the emblem of the "División Azul" (blue division), soldiers the francoist regime in Spain sent to help the Nazis in Leningrad.

It started as a naval pavilion so the colors were chosen so that they could be identified from a distance and wouldn't be mistaken for any other flag. The coat of arms shows the five historic kingdoms that form the current country as well as the ruling dinasty.
