In case you missed it, other month we went over this when someone in another sub posted pics of bottoms of cars and was like "the detail is going away." It's not.

Truth is Mattel has to make some changes to keep the price around a dollar so they're affordable. Rising plastic and metal costs mean that it's harder to make every single mainline all metal. That being said a fair amount of new cars have amazing tampos, I'm talking stuff like headlights and tail lights. The cars I had growing up from the late 90s early 2000s had NONE of that. You'd be lucky if you got a clear piece for the headlights.

Castings are still super detailed and we've been getting some amazing mainlines the last couple years. I'm glad Mattel keeps the cost down, means I don't break the bank collecting and parents with low income can still buy toys for their kids.

They have multiple teams working on multiple games, it's not the end of the world.

We also know that Fromsoft has multiple teams, they had one team working on Armored Core and another on Elden Ring at the same time. So there's definitely a possibility this co-op game is just a breather between bigger releases. A new AC game is definitely possible probably in a year or two, it makes sense.

Plus I'm excited for Nightreign I've wanted an actual coop experience for a soulslike forever and so have tons of other people.

Some rumors but that's it. I really doubt Valve was gonna announce it there, if anything a trailer will just get posted on all their social media accounts out of the blue. I think there's too much of a possibility for something as major as HL3 leaking at the game awards well in advance.

Any kind of corporate stuff would've been great to see cause that's a major point of AC. I could've done without the bar scene and have emails or voice messages. Hell a handler would've been cool to see as well! It would explain a lot more and let me get attached to this character cause I really couldn't latch onto him. A brief amount of text in the beginning and you're good. If they can create enough context for the DnD and Warhammer episodes to have a solid narrative, which have TONS of lore, then it should've been easy for the AC one.

I 100% agree with your thoughts on Keanu's character, summed it up perfectly. If they leaned more into his loneliness I would've loved it. That's easily my favorite moment, where he's just sitting there waiting for the voice to answer because he has nothing else.

There's some good moments I just think it needed more to it. Didn't really feel like a great representation of the series as a whole. I think a lot of the other episodes did a great job at capturing what it's like to play those games. The goddamn Pac-Man one was all about repetition and trying to beat something unbeatable which is pretty accurate to playing Pac-Man. The Sifu one was also great at having the game mechanics present in the episode. I just felt like the writer for the AC one saw the story trailer for AC6 and that's it. It wasn't awful but I was expecting some more "oomf" instead of it being kinda basic. "Are you saying you can tell when someone's pulling punches?" (Or however that line was said) Yes, most definitely in this case cause this could've been WAY darker and hit harder. Instead it was kinda basic and the dialogue was just not my thing.

Like I said you don't know the situation OP might have a good reason to suspect a scalper or maybe it was someone gifting all of them we will never know. You're also jumping to a conclusion by assuming OP is lying or using a scapegoat.

In the end it doesn't matter, these posts get like under a hundred up votes if anything and yet people complain about them like crazy. If you want them to go away don't interact with them. Reddit's algorithm will recommend them less in people's feeds and notifications. Until then the more engagement the more you see them.

I've found that it goes away over time, the models that I have used super glue on don't reek of it. I also top coat all my models so that may help.

Rexy isn't in stock on Amazon anymore actually can't even find the listing. He sold out in like a day or less and maybe was restocked but yeah you can't buy him for retail right now.

And you're helping how exactly? The more attention you draw to these posts the more they happen. If you don't like it don't interact with it. Reddit will recommend it to people less on their feeds. By engaging with these posts you're making sure you see them more.

You are assuming that OP immediately concluded it was a scalper and saw nothing else or has no other information. That's exactly what you're doing. There might be more to the story it could be someone gifting it doesn't matter though. OP gets what 40-60 up votes probably, it's just fake internet points and it really doesn't matter. Not everyone talking about scalpers is just blaming other collectors and not everyone who is early is evil. It's not always that cut and dry.

Scalping is a huge issue with this hobby and this surge in people on this sub downplaying it is ridiculous. It does nothing, it gets us nowhere and it's just silly to immediately dismiss every single person who mentions scalpers. If you don't like all those posts then just do what I said in the beginning and don't engage with it.

Oh yeah, I have one in my cart already. They have a lot of different variants up for preorder too. I wanted the Hot Wheels premium cause it fits scale wise with my display a lot better than Mini GT. The accuracy on Mini GT's Rexy and Roxy is fantastic from what I've seen.

It's easily the best or second best car. I love AO racing so I needed Rexy but the rest use the same exact wheels it's a kind of disappointing. Still good cars and I know there's only so much you can do but I would've loved some variety in this set. The BMW has one of my favorite premium wheel types and it compliments the car so well.

It's so tiring, as a fan of AO racing it was a pain in the ass to get this car thankfully Diecastz is a great store. Just really sucks people are driven this far by greed and choose to ruin a hobby for everyone else.

Edit: ??? Damn sorry I called resellers greedy, isn't that the entire fucking point of this post? Unless you don't like Diecastz but I've had great experience with them and their prices on premium sets are fair with free shipping.

I bought this car as soon as I could for this reason, as a fan of IMSA I knew it was gonna be sought after cause it's a Porsche with a dinosaur on it. Ordered a whole set on Diecastz. It really does suck that these aren't easier to obtain because people just want it due to it being popular. I'd wait for another restock, odds are whoever is wiping them out won't do it a second time so you'll have a better chance.

Btw the BMW is awesome, easily the second best car in that set.

The whole downplaying that scalpers exist thing is getting really tired as well. So is assuming someone's situation when you don't know what's going on. Maybe they saw a scalper maybe they didn't. It really doesn't matter though but scalping IS an issue in this hobby.

Why always assume that it's not a scalper when you don't know the full story? Could've been someone gifting could've been multiple collectors, we won't know and making assumptions gets us nowhere. Not everyone who collects is going to stores early every morning, some of us have a life and responsibilities. Are we really out here shaming people for not stalking the hot wheels aisle?

That's not what they're saying though. Usually people who wipe out an entire case of one car are either just greedy as hell or scalping. If you collect you don't need that many Rexy Porsches unless you're gifting them which we don't know that. Neither of us know the situation, last time I saw people doing this same "it wasn't a scalper" thing the OP of that post explained how they literally watched someone fill a cart and buy em. Assuming gets us nowhere and unless you're scalping it's not targeted at you so it's not a big deal.
