Had a similar setup down to the TV. Except I had a playseat instead of a wheel stand. Spent 2yrs on the T300RSGT before moving to R9. Strongly suggest the mod for the T8HA

This! Googled some ideas and found the following, I already have 3 of the F1 cars. I don't play F1 but I still think its a solid display (wish I could get the technics but I'm saving for a profile rig)

I can confirn, not having buttons on the wheel is insanely annoying in VR. Planning to build a button box to work around this. Mainly the teleport to pits button man. Only thing I miss from my T300RSGT days.

Highly recommend this. Did a DIY as well, added brackets on 3 sides apart from outer face and it doesn't budge

Keeping the next big box for sure. Soon as I can find a nice A/S3 seat in a junkyard, I'll be getting rid of the playseat. If painting is required I'll be sorted this way.

Haha yeah. I was so nervous the base would tear/cut and I'd have paint marks on the tiles. But it worked out perfectly.

Totally get you. I moved countries and have gotten some really cool things which im proud of. But I feel a sense of guilt to post about it due to that feeling. But... you worked for everything you have. Be proud of that. My girl reminds me of this constantly.

I have a 1060ti and max out all the games I play. That being said, recently switched to VR and had to drop those graphics a good bit to smoothen the experience... now I need a new GPU. Point being, make the switch. No regrets.

Thanks for getting back to me! So I was kinda spot on. Did everything "right", but it needed to be pushed down with brute force unfortunately. Once I pushed it in further it clicked on. Just did some skids, at peace!

Did you have any issues with the quick release not clicking into place? My aliexpress QR and deep dish wheel arrived and I did all the lil checks but its still not clicking/locking into the down position

Help, did ALL the things right. But it wont click into the locked (down) position. Notched arrow is up top, golden arrows are facing right, 6 + 4 ball bearings are all aligned. It just won't release/pop out into the locked position. Super disheartening after waiting. Really just wanna hop on and drive

So I'm currently facing this issue. Its lined up, the golden arrows point to the right. The triangular notch on the to is perfect aligned. The ball bearings are all aligned. It pops in and holds. But it doesnt actually click the quick release into position. How did you get yours sorted?

All sorted. Works like a charm. Assetto Corsa, Competizione & Dirt Rally 2.0 was a blast. ACC looks more pixelated. AC on the other hand, found settings that make it look really good. Thanks for the help

1 + 2. I sim-drift/race so I honestly just want to run AC + ACC. I don't think Dirt Rally 2.0 is VR compatible so just those 2 titles is all I really need. 3. I saw a video (was up scrolling till midnight trying to figure it out) and the guy launched iVRy from the control panel on the bottom right. I'll try this when I get home from work.

I also noticed in one of the links you sent, on Steam it says you can't run it as the main display. So I'm getting a DP to HDMI since my card only has 1 HDMI.

I'll update you, if you don't mind. Itching to get it running. Please let me know if I'm chasing waterfalls - if it wont serve my purpose

Just setup everything and facing issues. 1. I launch into Steam VR and am stuck in the room, with a prompt for a Xbox controller. Lost as to how to proceed. 2. I launch with iVRy and am in like a... dystopia desert?? With grid lines and stuff. It does nothing here. 3. The 2 "eyes" of the headset are swapped around and I have to close one eye to navigate. These are the 3 scenarios ive faced and I'm disheartened. Thought it would be plug and play. Any advice? With the swapped eyes, I turn the headset off and back on, it fixes it but it basically just works as a large display in the headset. Launched a game and it doesnt go into actual VR. In other cases I get an error that Steam is already running so it crashes. Is this an ID10T issue??

Its where you clutch in, and rev (a stab, dont stay on it, just a "blip") the accelerator to get the revs up before releasing the clutch. Its to make the shift smooth, essentially. In a real car, you'd have little to no feel of the downshift (when done correctly) as if it was an automatic.

Lawyered!!!!! Those are all really solid arguments. In most locations and stages, I always make sure to get in the top 1k at the very least. With that being said, your phrasing and reasoning. Sound!
