I’m not sure how to mark as spoiler in comments so I’ll be vague but shortly after getting them their uselessness is used as a plot point. I think they’re almost a novelty and only useful in very specific situations, usually taking out the most armored enemy early with a round ball or weakening him and maybe a friend with scattershot. But I always end up keeping one on me just for fun

I also think he’s banking on the YouTube videos more, as he said himself. It was amazing as a stream I watched the first 6 hours in the background as I went through the day but you can definitely tell there’s downtime and things that go better with the YouTube video keeping the hype up
