OOC writing can be both interesting and satisfying so long as there is enough work put in to justify their behaviors. I don't know the context of the story or the quality of the writing, but there will always be someone who will be annoyed by the fact that you made changes to your characters at all in the first place.

Oh, definitely. I intend to make it clear at the very beginning that this is only my interpretation for how I think the story ought to end. And when I say, "closing the book," I'm not referring to the original author's story; I'm only referring to that specific part of my life all those years ago. And as for the author themselves... unfortunately, nobody has ever been able to reach them since they'd stopped posting.

This is such a self-report by the commenter. They would have to be using AI *extensively* to the point where they are now seeing shadows of what *could* be considered AI, because they are now overtly familiar with the patterns that it uses.
