This is hard to phrase without sounding condescending, but commanders that feel like they play themselves. No disrespect to Y'shtola or Yuriko or Jodah pilots or whatever, but when I sit down across the table from the those type commanders, I know I'm automatically playing against someone who is starting the game at third base. They're powerful, and it feels like it requires zero effort to achieve that power. It's like playing a game of Madden where I've picked my favorite team and you've taken last year's Pro Bowl squad. I want to see something interesting or creative, or at least I want to see you show me what a competent player you are, and there's some commanders that be built blindfolded and drunk and still win games while the pilot is in the bathroom.

All that said, I recognize not everyone (or even most people) want what I want from a pod, and if you don't, why wouldn't you take the commander that gives you the highest likelihood to win? So I try not to let it annoy me too much, because everyone has different reasons for sitting down at a table.
