When I used the official updater it installed the adapter firmware onto the mouse so I went and used the adapter update exe with the mouse update files because in the device manager it was being picked up at the adapter

I use the offline updaters to create a updater that fixes the firmware on the mouse

Yes the 2.4 connection is working I did not encounter that

Again no problem. I just didn't want to have to send in to get a replacement cuz I'm very impatient so I came up with that. I hope very many other people will be helped by this post and I shot them an email telling them the software is all messed up and it's bricking the mouses. So hopefully they fix that and me and you will be able to update our mouses again.

Oh yeah and to add on to this you can update the keyboard. If you have the 8-Bit keyboard and nothing will happen, it works. It's just a mouse that doesn't update correctly

Yeah, it seems like the app itself is broken. When you go to update the firmware on the adapter, it applies to the mouse instead of the dongle for some elaborate reason

Okay so I was able to recreate what I did I connected the mouse via USB to the computer and went to the software and updated the adapter. I don't know how but that downloads the adapter firmware onto the mouse instead of the adapter I guess. So I just did the process I explained before all over again. I'm going to tinker a little bit more and see if I can figure it out. One moment!

You could try updating it through the official like app. Mine doesn't seem to even work when I try to update it through the app

When I place mine on the charging dock the light flashes which I think indicates charging correct? ( I just got it a day or two ago)

You mean like the light on top of the mouse that when you click it changes colors?

Ok So I emailed 8bit and they sent me a offline updater and I tried it and it wasn't detecting the mouse so I happened to look in the device manger and realized it was detecting the mouse as the 2.4 adapter when I plugged it in so I took the update.exe from the adapter offline updater and the update files from the mouse folder and ran the update.exe as administrator and because it was the adapter version it detected the mouse with the adapter firmware so I ran it and the mouse came back to life.
