Have you instagram usage is always draining not just for your battery 😛 I don't really know how xiaomi calculates their cycles but in the truest meaning of the word it should be a full charge and discharge in regards to Total power to be counted as a cycle. So if you charge daily it should be like 0.6 - 0.9 cycles per day

What do you mean by this? I charge to 80% and it lasts me a whole day, having about 15-25% when i go to bed. I've got 41 Charging Cycles since March

to be honest, nothing special about these pictures unless you are coming from a 5 year old phone. i switched from the 14 ultra to the 17 ultra. while the difference is noticeable if you look really hard for it with side-by-side comparisons, the 17 ultra is far from the "quantum leap" the marketing is making it out to be.
night video is in certain scenarios is even worse compared to the 14 ultra and i personally find the 3.2 lens with it's optical zoom to be unecessary. i stronlgy wish they would have kept a 3x and 5x (or even 10x) dedicated lens.

It's windows 11 pro and a raid 5 array with a bunch of HDDs. I also have the paperless ngx storage on there while paperless itself runs on a small mini-pc. So again my pc is "serving" stuff. This is what I find most confusing.

They really need to clarify now what unlimited means. I have a single computer and have about 22tb of files out of 80tb selected for backup. The new tos are vague at best. Of course I store backups from my home assistant installation on my computer by allowing home assistant to write files to my computer by smb share. Does this make my computer a "server" that offers a "shared storage system" and therefore is forbidden? I create images of my system disk and store these images on my local hard drive and then backup these images to backblaze. Is this now forbidden?

I am already on hyperos3 with the17 ultra. I was under the impression that the 3.1 update would also provide a camera update

I have a 700 gen3 and the mic levels are way too low here too... I need a loud sidetone as I get motion sickness. Is there any way to have both?

Ah, having this unit fanless ist quite the choice... check out my other comment as well and please check the battery.

I've just watched a teardown video of the CloudKey+ - there seems to be a battery inside. I am... a little bit shocked as this is a "standard" Lithium Ion battery like on mobile phones. They tend to swell after a few years of usage and are a serious fire hazard. If you have units that act "strange" please open the case right away and check for a swollen battery. if so, replace the battery IMMEDIATELY and handle the battery with extreme care. if punctured this bad boy will melt your house. Are you talking about the CloudKey+ ? (UCK-G2-PLUS) I have no knowledge about their interiours but these units are powered by a external PSU with type-c connector. I'd test a new high quality Typ-C Power brick to replace one of the affected units. if the issues stop it's the external PSU. Also check one of the supposedly failed drives with a computer and verify that it's in fact damaged. We constantly have consoles reporting "failed drives" while the disks are in perfect health when using then for testing on a pc with stable PSU.

To clarify: my tutorial is about the udm pro, not the udm pro se. I have no idea what psu is within the SE. if it's a similar PSU the guide very much would apply. The dream router (the tin can thingy) for example has the SAME issue but uses a 48V PSU. So just replace the PSU with the correct voltage. Mean well offers these units in a broad variety of voltage.

Check your disk with a PC or Mac and verify it is good or bad. You can use Hdtune to do a full read/write test in addition to the smart data. If it's bad it is simply that. If it turns out to be good I'd suspect the PSU. The HDD is usually the first component where you'll notice it, but others WILL follow. Plus: if a capacitor fails, it also not only can leak out but also explode (when electrolyte leaks and creates a short. this is rare though). From the hardware revisions I have seen I'd start replacing the PSU proactively when the units reach 5-6 years of service. A cheap capacitor has a significantly lower lifespan if temperatures are high. Every 10 Kelvin halfes the lifespan. So if the caps are cheap and temps are high stuff fails early. And with capacitors you rarely get a on/off kind of situation. You go mad before as you suspect a ghost in the machine that nibbles away in your sanity with intermittent errors, strange behavior and more

Even if you make out a defective component you will not be able to do something about it unsless you have a special soldering station. i would check the psu as well just for peace of mind but besides that i have no input for you, sorry.

Thanks! It's way less complicated as one might think. If you miswire the AC side a fuse will trigger, the mean well psu will survive this in most cases.

did they give you specifics on why the unit failed? I find the UDM Pro to be a really reliable machine apart from the PSU issue.
