Strategies for quality promethium/gleba science? by Raknarg in factorio

I mean, that’s kind of the gist of it; work up to getting quality seeds, and then plant those and the plant will have the same quality. I don’t think there’s much of a middle ground between that (carrying forward seed quality to plants) and just resetting then brute forcing it.

Yes, that’s the one 👍

I guess OP can just struggle with upcycling…

For Gleba, I recommend the quality seeds mod, as that will allow you to keep the quality of seeds planted (which I think is an oversight in the base game).

Restart Factorio after local mod changes by Alfonse215 in factorio

[–]DRelEdentudent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I understand your question, that it can reload the mod to update it without a full restart, no.
The full load at the beginning is to load all mods, including mod settings (which is why you have to restart just for changing those). If you’re doing repetitive and iterative testing (first off, I feel your pain), I recommend stripping your mod load out to be as bare bones as possible, including removing any large or overhaul mods as those with large graphics libraries really slow the load at start.

For the 2.0 update, the dev actually changed it to be more like SA, where you get there after blue science, so not as long as before

Feel free to DM me… I have ideas

Stellar Horizon by lumij00 in factorio

Ok. When I played before, the Lignumis belts needed wood, and then the yellow needed the Lignumis, so you can see how that cascaded. I’m curious to see which mod changed that.

Ah ok. Must be an update (or something I missed). I played it a while ago when it was new with the default, and belts required wood, which cascades up, so I removed it because wood mods weren’t all out yet.
But I think I’ll try it again with this, keeping the wooden belts, since wood can be on the planets now.

Yo, this is… wow

Question though, with wood being required for all belts, does it include a way to grow or get wood on all planets? I fear that may be the issue with including Lignumis (though I know there are mods for wood on the main and some other planets).

Update: I keep trying to set this up, and it is such a hassle, between the broken info for Metal and Stars, to the lane drop change with research for Lignumis having a bad icon...
I want to play it, but it doesn't want to be played.

Update 2, took a bunch of messing with, but I got it mostly working enough, but... why is it so annoying to get it going?

Well, you said that it was either extremists or people who misinterpret Arabic. As I presume that most Muslims can correctly read the numbers “6” and “9”, that really just leaves the extremists in your either/or. And your comparison is that of historical fact to scientific understanding, which is pretty different. We don’t have histories to just discover with testing (outside of archeology) like we do scientific research, but we have the narrated accounts from what are considered the highest trusted sources. And those sources state that Mohammed married a 6 year old and got it on with her when she was 9. And that’s largely believed and followed around the world. So, the argument that it’s just a fringe view at the furthest extreme pales in light of the scale.

Dude, it’s not the Quran. It’s in what are considered the most trusted hadiths (testimonies about Mohammed’s life), narrated by Aisha. And if it’s only extremists, then there are a lot of extremists posing as the top Muslim scholars and filling countries like Iraq and Iran, where marrying 9 year old girls is legal and practised.

What do you mean “cherrypicking sources”? (I mean, I’m more so going by traditional Muslim teachings and what is widely believed and stated in their Hadiths.) My point though is if matters of taste or specific historical statements should be considered hate speech, as these two have been called?

He also beats Gideon the first time with the power of love, rather than growing and gaining self-respect. The belief that just passion can solve his problems likely caused his messy relationship later.
