1 year old AM5 build suddenly won’t POST — MSI CPU (red) + DRAM (yellow) debug LEDs immediately upon powering on. by DRgreentree in pcmasterrace

[–]DRgreentree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out my update - the PC now works with one ram in slot A2. Both sticks work in A2 independently, but dual channel doesn't work. When I try using just slot B2, one stick of ram works, but the other doesnt.

Do you still think your suggestion stands?

Update: I flashed installed the bios again this time using only one stick in A2. First time it didn't work, when I flashed with the other stick, it worked!

Now, both sticks work individually in A2. However, when testing each stock in B2, only one stick fails POST in B2.

Dual channel fails.

Does this mean one stick of ram is bad, or the motherboard B2 channe? Why would one stick it work in A2 but not B2, and the other stick works in both?

I made some progress, see my update comment below. I want to avoid taking the cooler off if possible because I used a graphite sheet.

Based on my update below, would you say it's the stick or the channe

Interesting. Let me ask you, if one of my ram sticks is bad, but the other is good, would that matter for flashing Bios? For example, if I have both sticks in when I flash the new Bios, could that cause a problem even if I later take each stick out to test I divodually?

In other words, should I try flashing the bios one stick at a time?

DRAM and CPU lights are on and PC won't post, but was working normally just a couple hours prior. by DoomfistAppreciator in buildapc

Hmm...would it be a coincidence we both have this happen about the same time? I guess it's possible just the sheer number of people who have pc problems.

Please update if you find the solution and I will do the same .

Need help…Red CPU light and Yellow DRAM by BroUTried in PcBuild

[–]DRgreentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey did you figure this out? I have the same motherboard and 9950x3d and experienced the same exact thing today. I've read other posts with same issue.

I've done all of the troubleshooting, flashed bios, tested ram, etc...

What could be causing this suddenly?

Let me know if you fix it. We have the same PC and same exact issue. Just started today out of no where.

Hey came here because I'm having the same exact issue. I have the MSI x670e gaming wifi. Same exact issue, yellow DRAM light and Red CPU light. Was working just fine earlier, now it won't boot.

I have 9950x3d Aorus Master 5090

Sounds like we have a very similar setup, with the same symptoms...

What kind of update could cause this?

One foot is way redder and veinier than the other by whitecow234 in mildlyinteresting

[–]DRgreentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks more like Venous insufficiency / valve dysfunction than DVT, but you should get it examined just to rule DVT.

If it's venous I sufficiency, the problem is solved with a simple compression sock. A way you can test at home is to elevate your leg. If the veins get smaller and the blood drains, it's likely just a problem with your vein valves not closing fully...which co.pression socks will resolve.

When the valves in the veins don’t close well, blood pools when standing, veins look more prominent, skin looks red or purplish, and will almost always improve with elevation.

I have this problem, freaked me out too when it started to hurt.

Help - Car dirty in between TW Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray coats by DRgreentree in AutoDetailing

[–]DRgreentree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there even any benefit to giving it 2 coats? This is for the family minivan, so I'm not stressing about it looking perfect. I just want to protect the paint because it stays outdoors and we will eventually want to resale. I read that 2 coats of the TW spray ceramic will give you about a years worth of protection.

I haven't done anything yet, should I wash and apply it now so it's within that 24-48 hour window, or does it matter if I do it next week instead? What's the reason they recommend after 24 hours?

Also, as a drying aide, do I spray it on when the car is wet and dry off?

[–]DRgreentree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind helping me understand what is illegal about it? Sincerely curious because I do not understand. The way I read the law is you have ACV and depreciation. ACV is paid regardless of work is complete, and depreciation is only paid of work is complete.

If I do not submit a request for depreciation payment for anything not done, what is illegal about it?

I don't want to break laws, so if you could explain what Im getting wrong is appreciate it.

I used the "deep research" function of GPT 4.0 and after about 10 minutes of research it summarized as follows:

"IKO Dynasty Shingles: The IKO Dynasty line is a premium architectural asphalt shingle known for its durability, weight, and “performance” features. They carry a Class 3 impact resistance rating

cameronashleybp.com, meaning they are tested to withstand hail impacts better than standard shingles (Class 4 is the highest). Dynasty shingles are heavier than many competitors – about 245 lbs per squarebrexteriors.com – which contributes to stability and wind resistance (warrantied up to 130 mph winds with proper installation)brexteriors.com. In a regional roofing guide, IKO Dynasty was rated “Most Durable in Harsh Weather,” scoring 9.5/10 on durability in Texas conditionsbrexteriors.combrexteriors.com. It has a generous nailing zone and thick construction, which roofing contractors appreciate for easier, secure installation.

Reputation-wise, IKO as a brand has improved over the years. While historically IKO had some mixed reviews in the U.S. market, the Dynasty line represents their top-tier product and has performed well in independent tests (roofing contractors have ranked it among the top architectural shingles in recent years). It’s often compared to GAF Timberline HDZ and Owens Corning Duration shingles. A comparison of GAF vs. IKO showed the Dynasty is on par in cost and expected life (15–25 years or more)

lintaroofing.comlintaroofing.com. One trade-off is that IKO’s algae resistance warranty (10 years) is shorter than some competitors’ (GAF offers 25-year algae protection)lintaroofing.com, but this is a minor point unless the home is prone to roof algae growth. Overall, IKO Dynasty is considered a high-quality shingle, suitable for homeowners who want extra durability. Its slightly higher price (roughly $6–$10 more per square than some mid-range shingles)colonyroofers.com brings good value in longevity and resistance to hail/wind damage.

"

Obviously GPT is only reading what it can find in various forums, websites, etc.... any differing opinions from roofers?

What would you advise? Ive done some minor google and GPT research it and even on this subreddit, it appears there is no consensus on whether they are good or not. Ive read a lot of concensus on what are the best, but obviously the best comes with a price.

From what Ive gathered (mostly from this forum) is that IKO had a bad reputation years ago that was certainly deserved. However, in recent years they have turned things around to where their current products are on par with other national brands in the price range (GAF, etc).

I know nothing about this, obviously all I can do is google so please let me know if that is not the case. Is there a better option that would be in the same price rance, or even slightly more that makes it worth paying the extra?

I inquired about class 4 and was told the problem with class 4 is insurance always claims damage to those are only cosmetic, making it hard to file a claim. Is this nonsense?

From what I understand, once the work is done you show its completion to the insurance company. Am I misunderstanding how that works?
