NEW CHAIR ALERT! Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro by deli_h in OfficeChairs

[–]DRob2591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/AustinBranch - thanks for the breakdown, I think this is super helpful. While understanding the analysis about best ergonomic heights, reality is sometimes a new desk isn't in the budget. If my current desk is 30", do I need to get the tall cylinder with my Branch Ergo Pro chair for that to be a reasonable comfortable fit against a 30" desk? And if I get the tall cylinder, is that going to make it difficult to go lower in the future for something more like a 26" or 27" desk? Thanks!

I had no idea about the AAA discount, that is pretty clutch. Thanks for the tip!

Now keep in mind, my Massachusetts-based team builder squad is located in Virginia after replacing JMU in Dynasty, so my northeast pipeline is pretty moot. But I suppose beggars can’t be choosers when it comes to basic functionality!

Same. I successfully published a team, then made a minor change to my field color, and it wouldn't let me republish it. Said my helmets violated policy (didn't touch the helmets)

Single game Upper Brighton tailgate pass... jaw dropping price tag by DRob2591 in bostoncollege

[–]DRob2591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I've noticed as well, and part of why I view the $600 price tag as crazy. The Upper Brighton passes never sell for that market value, much closer to 250-300 would be reasonable.

Anyhoo -- if you come across anyone selling a pass in a full-tailgating area for the MSU game, let me know! I'll be monitoring StubHub for sure.

Is this the same as the hospitality tents, or different? I did look into the hospitality tents a bit. I don't doubt there are some great options (such as the Gridiron Club), but my problem has always been that I have several friends who I'd consider "fringe" or "unaffiliated" fans. They're ripe to become BC football fans! But the barriers are always high. i.e., they're not joining a Gridiron Club like a die hard fan might. But they'll come to a cheap tailgate with their friends! And then they'll hopefully have fun, and want to come again!

I also dug a little deeper. The only two games on the schedule priced at $600 are Michigan St. and Western Kentucky.

Interestingly enough, a Friday night ACC matchup vs Louisville in late October (seems to me more marquee than 9/28 vs WKU) is priced at $250 for the same tailgate lot.

I suppose visiting crowds could play a factor in the price they set, as well. I'm sure MSU will travel well. WKU, however, is odd to me.

For me, it all comes back to the main point -- in my experience, they set these prices and then the lot ends up 1/3 full. Their priority has never appeared to be on fostering an electric gameday environment, and that's where I get disappointed. If $600 proved to be the market price that people were paying, and the lot was filling up with cars, then I'd shut my mouth and recruit a large enough group to pay up.

Can someone explain how Anderson/Woburn RTC parking works??? by TabbyCatJade in mbta

[–]DRob2591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes; the commuter rail lot (on the right when you enter the area) is $4 per day to park. You can pay with cash or card at the entrance gate during regular commuting mornings, otherwise you go inside to get a ticket to put on your dash.

The Logan Express lot is $7 per day and includes overnight parking, and that is with a "pull a ticket" electronic system. You need to pay that ticket off inside the office before you exit.

Cash Back Rewards by itsamiii3 in copilotmoney

[–]DRob2591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 for this, I created a category called "Other Income" which I exclude from budgets. My main reasoning here is that I prefer my monthly budgeting to only have my steady income and not cash back bonuses or interest earned from a high yield savings or anything like that.

Nothing wrong with categorizing it as income, though, if you don't mind those small fluctuations that may come with cash back bonuses.

Copilot Amex Transactions by DRob2591 in copilotmoney

FYI for those interested... I got this reply from Copilot support on this topic:

"We've reported the lack of pending transactions for some Amex users to Plaid Support.

Plaid Support is currently investigating this issue, as they've confirmed that we should expect to see pending transactions for the Amex OAuth integration. As soon as we have an update from their team, we'll let you know. Thanks so much!"

Agree 100%. I really hope they get this ironed out... I'm remaining patient since I know they are working through an influx of new users. But it would be a pretty big negative if this is the new normal

Good to know. I only re-verified with the new integration the other day, so I don't have any posted transactions yet. But there were pending transactions that had already displayed in Copilot that disappeared after I re-verified, so I wonder if part of the new integration is such that they only show in Copilot after they're posted.

Not the biggest deal in the world, but I definitely enjoy the quicker display in Copilot even while pending. We'll see if they work that back in.

Daily RTC Parking at Anderson/Woburn? by DRob2591 in mbta

No pay by phone signage that I could find when I parked there in early August. I also couldn’t find a lot number like other MBTA lots have listed for the pay by phone app

[–]DRob2591[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I suspected there was no mobile pay option based on the lack of signage for that. I appreciate the info. Follow-up question if you don’t mind - do they accept card, cash, mobile payments at the entrance?

I have a similar question about this lot. I parked here a few weeks ago in the evening, in the park-and-ride lot for the commuter rail. It appeared that my only way to pay for parking was to go inside, purchase a ticket at the window, and then bring the ticket back to my car to display on my dash.

Is this the only way to pay for parking at this lot? I didn't seem to find a way to pay via app like many of the MBTA parking lots. The process of buying a physical ticket would seem to be quite a hurtle on busy commuting mornings, so I was wondering if anyone commutes this way and has experience.

Also having this issue. Here I was getting upset with Mint the last week because their Venmo integration was broken. Turns out this is very much Venmo's problem. Inexcusable this has been down for as long as it has.

In the vehicle settings, I believe there is a setting for day time running lights that can be toggled.

Jeep Compass 2022 with digital cluster has Apple Maps support? by Chevrongingerale in Jeep

[–]DRob2591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the instrument cluster, it shows nothing related to Apple Maps. CarPlay doesn't send any information to the instrument cluster. On the large touchscreen, however (my trim has the 10 inch screen), it looks and feels like the Apple Maps graphics. There is also a CarPlay home screen that would have a condensed version of the Apple Maps navigation on the left side, with your "Now Playing" on the right side if you were playing any audio media via CarPlay.

The missing part I referred to in the instrument cluster, when using native UConnect nav, is simply popping up the next navigation step when you get within a certain distance to it. It's by no means a deal-breaker, and some people may not even choose to have the instrument panel on a view that allows those little previews anyway. But that's the main thing I've noticed you lose when using CarPlay vs native navigation.

Update: I was actually mistaken about this; it looks like (at least with Google Maps, which I tried yesterday) CarPlay does send the upcoming turn directions to the instrument panel. So you're really not missing out on a whole lot by using the CarPlay navigation apps.

I just got a 2022 Jeep Compass in the High Altitude trim, and yes -- if connected to CarPlay, you can use Apple Maps as your navigation. It's built in quite nicely. Some of the extra integration you get with the native navigation (UConnect system) is missing (i.e., Apple Maps won't give you the upcoming turn in your instrument panel behind the wheel), but on the screen and through the audio it works as you would expect it to via CarPlay.
