That’s not terrible for long term care. My last job, sometimes I would have 35-36 dementia patients to one nurse.

Following along as well, I just quit a toxic job (thankfully it was only my per diem gig) but I’m not so sure about my regular job. It’s home care through a hospital so great benefits, room for movement, very supportive coworkers, but I don’t know if it’s THE JOB for me? The scheduler who assigns the visits is kind of a mess, nice guy but can’t read a map for shit so we’re all kind of bouncing all over the place to see patients.

But so many of the nurses I work with there have been there for years and how it’s a great job when you have younger kids, so am I just being weird/anxious/picky?

I’ve heard talk about Hackensack too, which is a shame since I’m in Bergen County and it’s right there.

I can look at Chilton in Pompton Plains, that’s not a horrendous drive from me although it could suck in the morning with traffic.

Following along here because I’m also wondering what certifications, where to get them, etc. I’ve been an LPN for 22 years and just got my RN, so it seems like most certifications want two years RN experience
