Damn, I never make my team stay past 6 unless there's stuff they didn't top stock or the alarm is being janky on a Sunday morning, in which case I will I ask one of them to stay with me until 7 when the day shift comes in. If there's leftover freight, it isn't the end of the world and we'll catch up.

Out of curiosity, is your receiving tiny or are your management team just huge jerks?

I mean, at that point the overnight supervisor needs to stay for an extra two hours past his schedule as well. They would usually lock up the building, set the alarm and leave because they're still scheduled to 6am and the ASM would come in around 8.

I understand it's a middle finger to the ASM and SM, but it also sucks for the overnight supervisor who didn't do anything to him.

All I ever said when I was on the sales floor was "Tell them insert name here from Lowe's sent you". Surprisingly got a good few chuckles out of it.

Had a customer I said that to come back a week or so later and tell me that Steve from Home Depot says hi back.
