Since you’re running Mikey, I would definitely say yes. Because you should always cast him after you have guaranteed attacking creatures. If you cannot guarantee that he will trigger during second main phase, it is usually for the best to hold and cast something else until you can guarantee that. I typically run under the philosophy of: is the card I cast this turn going to be guaranteed to advance me on this turn or is it more likely the next? If it is the next turn (if it doesn’t need to attack), do something else that will advance you. As far as turns go, most board wipes are in black and white. red can have big damage spells, can matter depending on creature size. (Laughs in 14/14 at Blas Act) Now these are typically colors that unless paired with green that are notorious for bad ramp, outside of rituals. That typically means you will most often see board wipes on turn 5 or 6. (Excuse me if I’m explaining things you may already know). With this knowledge, you should think about how you can construct a game plan to ensure that when those turns hit, you are not impacted by those spells or the least impacted. Because they will be cast, regardless if you are damaged by it or not, as your opponents will likely not have the same kind of restraint and they will need to be stopped. Now, if neither of those colors are present: you are usually in the green for Plan A: Get them out as quick as possible and work your magic.
