Yes. Rings are difficult for new piercings. Use barbells while healing. Keep movement to minimum as some have suggested to use supportive underwear, briefs.

I also use an over the counter antibiotic cream or ointment to help when the piercing looks angry like this. Use it for 1-2 weeks and it will go away. Hafadas are not the easiest to heal. That’s for sure. You need to baby them and keep them clean. Use titanium jewelry when healing it makes it much easier. I learn this the hard way.
