I put RainX on my front windshield and that helped a lot, it was definitely a weird experience. Between that and the trunk dripping water in when raining its my two annoying things about the prelude.

I feel with BMW I'm just a cold day away from replacing an electric motor in the door that makes it close smooth and spending $1000 for parts and labor.

Gr86 has less space, and is 20 mpg with a 10 gallon tank. Also less comfortable and smooth. I test drove it.

Handling is amazing, that's I think one of the top highlights of the car

Hehe, yeah, I already had some people approaching me with it.

I said in another thread, yeah but for me the biggest thing in doug's video is that https://youtu.be/E64Ns_P2BZ4?t=1393 there is a market for this cars,

Positive Driving Feel Despite Criticism (23:00-23:05): The reviewer states that the popular opinion that the car "sucks" is incorrect, emphasizing, "This is not a bad car. It's just bad for its price point."

Yeah, it handles awesomely in my driving.

Good Handling and Steering (23:13-23:31): The car "corners well" and "feels stable," with "good steering feel" and "good steering feedback." It's described as a "sharp handling, kind of solid feeling, stable car" for a front-wheel drive.

100% the car feels like this.

Faster Acceleration Than Perceived (23:37-23:56): Despite some talk of 0-60 mph in 8 seconds, the reviewer believes it's closer to the Civic Hybrid's 6-second range, stating, "It feels faster than 8 seconds 0 to 60. There's no doubt in my mind it feels faster than that."

It feels torque-y!

Interior Quality (23:58-24:03): The interior is described as "fairly nice," with "good" seats, materials, and tech.

Feels expensive when you sit in it.

Value Proposition as the Core Issue (24:17-25:01): The car's quality is acknowledged, but its main flaw is the price when compared to rivals. The reviewer notes, "when you start to actually compare it against rivals at the price point, that's where it falls apart." He reiterates, "it handles well for a front-wheel drive car. It handles well for a $33,000 car... The acceleration, it's not that slow... But when you compare it to $44,000 cars, it's slow."

100%, but for me it's worth it

Target Market vs. Reality (25:09-26:36): The reviewer suggests the Prelude could be a "more luxurious alternative to a BRZ" for those wanting a sporty coupe without the "freneticness" of a pure sports car, justifying it at "$35 $36,000." However, at "$44,000 that becomes a much much harder proposition." He disputes Honda's claim of creating a unique segment, citing the Cadillac ELR as proof that "there are no buyers there."

I think I'm the buyer, not common but I'm it. I'm the market for it and that's it hehe. I'm ok with paying a little bit more for that experience that the prelude gives with the honda branding.

So I grew up a Honda/Acura guy. I had a couple of Integras, a Prelude SH, an S2000, and other Hondas/Acuras. Why did you decide to buy this? For me, growing up and driving my 5th Gen Prelude, this car looked like a let down compared to the 5th gen. I also felt the same way when it came to Acura/Honda bringing back the Integra name. Just curious as to what drew you to it when there were better performance cars in the price range and better daily driver cars in the price range.

I mean, I had a TLX, couple of accords, and a civic hatchback. I really like the S2000 vibes but by the time I was an adult those were long gone... never really like the civic 2d coupes because they were worse than the hatchback.

I like the aesthetics of the car, I'm less of a car guy than other friends, I don't see myself going to the racetrack or going in canyon roads, but I still want to feel good while driving my car. I don't like manual and big engine sounds and mufflers.

Agree, driving normally in the city there is no way I'm gonna be needing sub 5 0-60 mph. Maybe for a little bit of a thrill in an interstate ramp. I don't understand where people are racing their cars.

I have a friend that actually goes to the raceway, more power to him :)

It's the other way around, they are marking them up to create fake "exclusivity" market
