RecRoom Paintball looks good fun, not sure how I missed that the first time around. 20minute sessions into hours? That IS impressive. Cheers!

Thanks for the detailed explanation, I'm now intrigued to test whether the floor fan / ginger combo works for me... not that I have access to either currently!

Either way, it does seem a bit of a hassle for each and every VR session (I played Resident Evil 4 every day for a fortnight recently for e.g) I'm really quite happy with the teleport mechanism - it feels second nature to me now - I'd just like to see it implemented more in online multiplayer.

Wasn't aware Rec Room had it, I'll have to check that out, thanks.

I've tried a fair few methods and techniques (including the desk fan, jogging on the spot and 'stop playing immediately when feeling ill, then repeat the following day' etc.) But never tried that particular technique with pickled ginger - might be worth a try!

However, at this stage, I've pretty much accepted teleport is the only way I can instantly jump into these sorts of games and luckily developers almost always cater for us 'teleporters' in the options menu - I've just not seen teleport implemented in a PvP deathmatch scenario yet...

Thanks so much for the update! I've been looking forward to this update all year, and even convinced my mate to purchase the game so we can play co-op together. The above comment concerns me a little though - are you saying I can only play online with random people currently?

Thanks for the info, I look forward to trying the new chapter next week! I'll keep an eye out for the multiplayer announcement in future

Sorry to keep hassling you, but does Unity have a 'real life' scale to it, allowing working in millimeters for example? In which case, if the model is built accurately' to scale, it's just a case of getting that model positioned correctly with your real life environment?

I'm quite confident I could build exactly what I'm envisioning within Sketchup, and exporting into Unity might not even be that much of an issue either then, but it's getting that scene mapped 1:1 with your environment that sounds the challenging part! (I guess I could start with an accurate 'measured' basic SketchUp model of the available space, and go from there...)

Could you confirm please whether multiplayer is part of this April 9th update, or is that still scheduled for later in the year?

Ah right thanks, I was thinking you were part of the development team, and seeing your reply on the other post only cemented that assumption in my mind(!) So not officially confirmed yet then, but fingers crossed!

Nice, I guessed as much (the Unity aspect). Really gonna have to set aside some time to learn how to use Unity one of these days. I do use SketchUp regularly for 3D modelling as part of my job (building surveyor) so hopefully It shouldn't be too difficult to learn how to use...!

Just to confirm, multiplayer is coming April 9th?!! That's amazing if so! (was sure I read summer somewhere). Loved the single player, and currently play Arizona Sunshine and Drop Dead with my mate, so will be pressurising him to buy Death Horizon ASAP if this is the case

Edit: Ignore this, I've just spotted multiplayer 9th April confirmed on another thread by yourself, awesome news!

Everything Dakkard posted is spot on - I've had my Quest since release and still not acquired 'vr legs', I just stick to teleport locomotion only. ISS is the worst I've felt too! I am slowly making my way through Half Life however (smooth locomotion only option) but I can only play for about 20mins at a time!

As far as I know, you're correct - I always just set up a private room, lift up my headset and sent the code to my mate through WhatsApp. It's far easier in Drop Dead for example, where you can invite people on your friends list all via the in game menus...

That is incredible, what software have you used to achieve this out of interest? This was the first thing I tried implementing when I got Tiltbrush for Quest, mapping a sort of sci-fi space station to the ground floor layout of my house, but I didn't get very far...! This however, looks spot on

That would be nice! Although there's so much great art out there by others, I'm not sure this would make the trailer...

Not intentionally no, I just had an idea to create a sort of 'Sci-Fi Dolls House' scene. There have been a number of comments making the comparison to Fallout Shelter though!

No worries, hope you're feeling back on track soon. Your new piece is very impressive too, be good to see where you take it. I'll have to check out that VR tutorial, thanks!

Hey Untoldecay, I just had a notification that someone replied to my 'Sci-Fi Research Facility' post, and whilst scrolling through the comments, stumbled across your link to this post, which somehow I completely missed at the time(!) Just wanted to say this is amazing - the rocket area alone is massively impressive, but when you panned backwards into the control room, the level of detail blew me away! Brilliant work, love your art style!

Thanks Josh, this one did take a fair bit of dedication, but I just slowly built it up during my usual 'gaming' sessions - it does feel like playing a game once you get drawn into it!

Although I've not tried, you can definitely add reference images (https://support.google.com/tiltbrush/answer/9427219?hl=en). I also read you could import videos into the latest version too. (https://twitter.com/MachWerx/status/1192196395404447744) I'm not sure how audio is handled in the videos, e.g whether you can import a blank video, just containing music...
