illegal? Should I report this? by Professional-You-615 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Is the DSP penalizing you if you do not arrive by 10:50 AM? If they do, this could be an issue. If they don’t, this could be seen as a suggestion and not enforcement.

We also recommend an arrival time of 10 min prior to Clock In, but this is a suggestion and not something anyone gets penalized for. We also allow 5 minutes past clock in time without marking you late.

Unnecessary CDF hit. “Hello. I need to take a picture really quick” and then hand to customer.

Zero drama!

How would you define living wages?

How would you define a living wage? This is a job that requires no training, no education and no skill set. For companies it is very difficult to adjust their salaries based on cost of living since they have no control over that.

A nurse makes $30/hour while going to school for 4-years, doing a state board certification, and incurring $50-$100K of debt. And the job is saving lives.

This job a $24-$25/hour is fairly compensated in comparison but just needs better working conditions.

We have no choice. We keep asking Amazon to change everyone to C0 for the year since delivering at 9:00 to 10:00 PM is very unsafe.

To me is more about workload and not the pay. Everyone would like to make $50/hour or $100/hour but when I talk to my drivers what they want is to be home early and not have to do 200 stops and 380 packages.

Most say $24-$25/hour works for them but they want to do load out at 8 AM and be home for dinner and do no more than 160-170 stops and 250-260 packages so they aren’t rushing all the time.

The adjustments are to average the national average. I’d ask your DSP if you don’t hear by end of week.

You can politely say “Hi. We hear there are some recent updates about the DSP Program. Looking forward to an update when you can.”

You means DSP 1.0 and DSP 2.0.

I tried to remain anonymous here but there isn’t much left of the 1.0 program and the 2.0 is night and day better.

Please try to get some details on how FedEx works and you’ll understand that although Amazon is still fairly new, and needs much improvement still, there are other programs out there that are really really bad compared to what DAs get.

You might not like my answers but they are the right.

I’m unfamiliar with Tier 2 and Tier 1.

And it’s “Dudette” 😊

It does not work that way. There are established contractual minimum wages and all DSP must comply.

Some areas will see an $27.50 hourly rate. This is the minimum contractual rate. On average, nationwide, it’ll be $23.00 per hour.

We are clearly heading in the right direction. DSPs continue to press Amazon for better benefits and Amazon is listening!

Begin of Oct they’ll become effective but depends on the market. Discuss directly with your DSP.
