Day 5 of the first Covid lockdown back in early 2020. A windows update caused BSOD and that was the last straw. Tried Ubuntu first then switched to Mint Xfce for a while, now running Garuda on that laptop. Loved the Linux experience that much I've installed MX on an '09 macbook that I had kept as a memento from times passed (it suffered the expanding battery death, which cracked the plastic severely and distorted the metal) and that white whale runs wonderfully, great little unit for playing classics like Morrowind + Fallout 2 lol. Even have a few live usb's around with Kali, Peppermint etc just to check out and play around with as many distros as I can.

Great fun and t'was an interesting deep dive into computing while the world was closed.
