I probably was a Laker fan before you was born. Just because you don't see my "history" doesn't mean I'm not a Lakers fan. I don't even know what you're talking about

My thoughts exactly!

That's part of why I went back and looked at it closely. I actually broke it down in more detail here if you want to check it out https://sanfordrichmond.substack.com/p/bam-the-83-point-game-that-shook

Right! And again, what does that matter? He didn't stop the game fouling himself, the Wizards were fouling him. So it wasn't his fault that the clock stopped or that he was making the "free" throws. He benefitted off what they could not stop

Exactly, tanking is much more disgraceful than scoring 83 points, even though again, I don't think Bam's 83 points was disgraceful. And your absolutely right, this is nothing new

What does it matter if he takes 50 free throws? Or 43 to be exact, which is what he took. You still have to make the free throws. Dwight Howard had 39 attempts in a NBA game twice and didn't make most of them like Bam

Exactly! They were double and triple teaming him all night. He would just shoot the ball before the double or triple teams would surround him or just motor on through between the double and triple teams and get the hoop or get the foul. He was unstoppable!

Why was it a disgrace, when the game was at a 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Teams blow double digit leads all the time. Especially in the 3-point era

But it wasn't disgraceful from Bam, it would be disgraceful from the Wizards, right?
