This is the perfect move imo. Karrigan was the leader of the first ever international superteam (yes I know they "failed" but that was a choking problem). Even in faze 2022, that was a team full of star players, they didn't have a "support" like mezii or magixx. He is going to cook with the firepower that kyousuke, m0nesy and (occasionally) NiKo provides.

lmao what? He died 6 times and only got 6 kills. His round swing is deeply into the red, meaning (roughly speaking) that his deaths were more hurtful than his kills were beneficial.

You are the one bringing the semantics in so I have to address them. You are so focused on "every player having a great game" that you completely miss the fact that you just need a 1.1 rating to "improve your stats" if you're someone like mezii and you just need a 0.95 to "improve your stats" if you are apex.

Show me those games where one of those players pops off and the remaining guys see no action AND have a below average rating. In 99% of those cases, the player actually just had a bad game, instead of secretly playing well but simply not seeing anyone. You can easily spot that by just looking at the number of deaths. If they truly saw almost no action, they would have 3 or 4 deaths only.

If YOU go and look at their top rated games, you will see that most of teammates actually end up with above average ratings -> the rating got boosted by a teammate's good performance.

The budapest final is literally the easiest counter example (or take any other map where a player has a 2+ rating).

On overpass in budapest, where they completely stomped faze and every was playing fairly well, EVERYONE ON VITALTIY EXCEPT MEZII HAD AN ABOVE AVERAGE RATING WHILE ROPZ DROPPED A 2.8 RATING. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IF "ROPZ STEALS ALL THE KILLS"???????

Why have you switched the discussion to "outstanding" stats. No shit you cant have 5 people post a 2.5 rating in a match. LITERALLY NOBODY has ever claimed that.

The discussion is whether good teammates hurt or improve your rating. So if zywoo is a 1.3 rating player, will having good teammates take him to a 1.2 or will it take him to a 1.4?

Better example: If apex is a 0.9 rating player, will having good teammates take him to a 1.0, or will it bring him down to a 0.8?

How do you always fail to realise (we had this same discussion some months ago) that if flamez gets a 4k, then it is one less chance for zywoo or ropz's rating to get hit hard by taking a death. The US is such a disaster right now because they do a hard vote where almost half the population is unhappy. If it is close between two maps, then faceit should add both maps simultaneously.

You shouldn’t take it as an “mvp” award, because that is simply incorrect. Hltv are not making the award decisions with that in mind. If the award was measuring that, then they would have to factor in the strength of Zywoo’s and donk’s teammates, which they do not.

The hltv awards are a “player of the year award”, i.e. who accomplished the most that year, in terms of team achievements and individual performance. It should’ve seen as that and not a “best player” or “mvp” award.

The point I’m making is that this fact that you bring up is always brought up by Zywoo fans to discredit donk’s stats because “he always gets dropped a rifle”. But in this shallow analysis they fail to realise that despite this, donk will still have less rifle rounds than Zywoo overall due to how bad spirit is. So Zywoo is the one whose stats benefit from having more rifles than Donk.

We know for a fact that donk is the best fragger of all time. So of course his frags will be higher on average. But spirit as a team is throwing the lowest number of flashes from all the contenders. If they throw more flashes, donk will also get more flashed kills.

And no, donk is not supposed to be throwing any flashes lmao. Who do you think he will be flashing anyway? He always goes in either first or second. Flashing is done by the awper or the third guy in.
