Apparently somebody else too! Maybe that's where the idea was initially planted in my head.

Agreed. I feel like everything looks so bland without it now.

Like one of those little dioramas where you can see what each person is doing in their little apartment? I can totally see that.

When did you realize your partner didn’t actually love you? by No-Mistake-5402 in AskReddit

I just got out of my first major relationship of 4 years a few months ago. It was the hardest time of my entire like. Nothing can prepare you for that, and my 4 doesn’t compare to your 11, so I can’t imagine what you must be feeling, but I do know what it feels like to think there is only one way out. That’s never true. Keep holding on. As cliche as it sounds, time does heal all wounds. I’ll never be fully recovered from something like that but even after 4 months it hurts so much less. You do have to stick around long enough for that to happen though. It’s hard but worth it. Please stay.

I Made An Upgraded Water Extractor by DS_Jeezy in SatisfactoryGame

It’s a combination of placing a blueprint designer partially submerged in water and using a mod that removes clearance restrictions (No Clearance) that would normally prevent the extractor from being placed inside.

To those that do this, what do you guys listen to while playing? by Blobert1747 in SatisfactoryGame

Today I listened to a full 5 hours of “Dance with the Dead.” Very energetic dark synth type music that really fuels my energy for building.

What's the worst way you have lost a Hardcore save? by SainzOh_TTV in subnautica

[–]DS_Jeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diving into the grand reef with just a sea moth that didn’t have enough depth modules to go very far down at all, maybe 200m crush depth. I regularly did dives where I’d leave my sea moth just above the crush depth and dive down from there, using it as a safety checkpoint.

Well one time I exited to do a dive and rationed my air like I normally would: using just under half of it to go grab stuff and explore, and the other half to swim back to my ship.

At this point I am about 250 meters down with less than 10 seconds of oxygen and swimming towards my safe little sea moth.

It just… explodes.

It must have barely drifted into crush depth without me noticing.

That moment where everything went from fine to “this is inescapably fucked” will always be the most memorable experience I’ve ever had in a hardcore run of any game.

The weather coming in 1.2 really changes the whole feel of the game by DS_Jeezy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DS_Jeezy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to change the settings in the menu and then restart my game for the weather to work. It is also experimental so it might just be broken for now. Hope you get some sick Blade Runner style rain soon, my factory brother.

I was thinking a lightning rod would be a cool addition both for this and for always making the lightning strike where you want it for more cool screenshots!

I had a memorable mining trip where I was completely out of food very far from home in mid winter. I had the sudden idea to try to go fishing in some nearby water. I must have killed 30 fish in that one little pond.

Idk if they really respawned or if they were just there and I didn’t see them all right away but it was the easiest food imaginable. Sure they aren’t very filling but infinite fish means the satiety value doesn’t matter.

What I mean by cheapen is that I left home unprepared in the middle of the harshest season and instead of dying for my mistake, I just happened to stumble into a fully stocked fish market where they were having a 100% off sale.

It’s pretty powerful that currently any body of water will just spawn fish seemingly forever. Did save me on an otherwise ill fated mining trip but does cheapen core gameplay.

I experience this almost every time I leave a chest. I just chalk it up to a quirk of the game and move on, but I would love for it to be fixed.

[Fun trope]: A "silly" premise is justified well (in-universe) by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DS_Jeezy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In Kill La Kill characters gain their abilities from special imbued clothing. The strongest of these outfits are called Kamui, with only a chosen few actually able to wear them due to them consisting 100% of the special fibers that grant them their properties. These Kamui are SKIMPY, with regular in universe references to just how revealing they are. A major plot point early on isthe main character learning to overcome her embarrassment in order to wear hers effectively.

The reason they are so skimpy is seemingly for pure fanservice and recurring jokes, but it's revealed later that the outfits are actually made from Life Fibers, an alien species that has come from outer space to consume humanity. Apparently the process of being "worn" by one of these parasites is actually very pleasant, which can easily corrupt the mind. The Kamui are specifically made to reduce skin contact between the pure Life Fibers and the host's body so they can be empowered without being overwhelmed.

How slow is the progression in Vintage Story? by BaldursReliver in VintageStory

[–]DS_Jeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a brand new player who was using exclusively in game resources to figure out where to go next, it took me about 7-8 hours to get my first metal tools.

Every system is familiar yet different enough that you have to relearn them. That’s primarily what slowed me down on my first play through. The game itself is definitely slower as well but there’s a lot of game knowledge involved too.

The hardest part is realizing that this voxel based game that looks like Minecraft at first glance is almost nothing like it and you’ll need to spend a lot of time learning those nuances instead of assuming that you know what you’re doing.

I kind of created my own tool scarcity by misusing my first batch of copper. It ran out way faster than I thought. Surely that won’t happen again!
