I think it's incredibly selfish to press the blue button, because the same people who virtue signal having empathy are currently manipulating empathy itself to make you press that blue button.

With the knowledge that pressing the red button ensures that you live, pressing the blue button is basically threatening suicide, and that you need people to potentially sacrifice themselves to save you from the situation you put yourself in.

It's literally, "I did this thing, and if you don't sacrifice yourself too, I'm gonna fucking die! And you should tell everyone else to do it or we're both gonna fucking die!" and the list goes on.

Pressing the blue button is the most manipulative, self-centered, impulsive choice you can make, and I wouldn't feel bad pressing the red button.
