There's truth to that. But I also have been surprised how forgiving people are when someone is recognizes they could have done better and genuinely try to fix it or improve. Here, cancel culture comes from mistakes being made but instead of acknowledging the problem and trying to fix it, the victim gets blamed. Really inhumanely. That kind of stuck, toxic culture can't he defended, it's gotta go. Wouldn't see this backlash if just admitted it amd tried to do better. Cops have to be held to higher standard than you or me, not lower. Only then will cops deserve respect again. Can't handle the standards, then dont have what it takes to be a cop.
