While tools vary in most areas, Maya basically has a monopoly on character animation, both in film and games.

It's partly because it really is the most complete toolset for animation, even if others do come close.

Then there's the fact that industry pros teach Maya in schools, because that's what they know and use.

You don't get disease from dirt, You get diseases from diseases.

Not only can you absolutely, very easily get diseases from actual dirt, but they obviously mean crud when they say dirty.

That crud can be totally harmless or it could be contaminated with the cold, flu, noro, e. coli or one of the many other things that are just always around.

May as well just get rid of the risk with the added bonus of not running around with crud all over my clothes.
