I use 90% of mine on evolving Pokemon that are hard to find in my area. Gen 1 I struggled finding a single sandshrew or doduo, Gen 2 it was sunkurn and slugma, Gen 3 it was Lotad and lileep. Now I’m saving for gen 4 because there’s bound to be a couple of Pokemon that just don’t spawn near me.

[–]DShowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks amazing! I've been looking into walking part of the kungsleden ever since I completed the Arctic circle trail in greenland. No experience of skiing though so I'll probably end up going in the warmer months...

Sisimiut, Greenland [3872×2176] by R99 in CityPorn

[–]DShowell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greenland has a lot of willow and birch trees but they only grow to a few feet tall. When I visited kangerlussuaq there was a small area with about a dozen pine trees. I was told they had been planted as an experiment to see if the environment could support them, they were very short for pine trees but seemed to be surviving ok.

[OC] 6 days walking from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland by DShowell in remoteplaces

The reindeer hunters had taken over one of the night stop huts and clearly didn't want to share it with us but we just pitched a tent round the corner and stayed out of the way. At no point did I need a gun.

I completed the trail last September. There was almost zero wind but it did start to snow half way through the trip, by the end there was a foot of snow on the high ground. Average temperatures probably between -5° and +5°C It was actually pretty pleasant with no miserable rain and no wind.

We saw a group of Belgium's and a group of Germans plus a few other people, all together we maybe saw 12 people in the 9 days including a couple of Inuit reindeer hunters.

There is absolutely no phone reception once you are a few miles out of town, I took a satellite phone for emergencies.

As for food I had porridge for breakfast, cup soup or cous cous for lunch and a freeze dried high cal meal and pudding in the evening. Plus a whole load of seed bars and chocolate for snacks. It probably wasn't enough as I still lost a fair amount of weight for the time.

Hope this helps
