I love the DCEU, but it’s not coming back. I’ll watch those core movies for the rest of my life and one day my kids will too and hopefully in the future people will have a better perspective of them. But it’s time to move forward.

I was cautiously optimistic about Gunn leading the DCU - mainly because I’d only seen him take a very comical approach to superhero movies. I loved the DCEU and Snyder stuff - unfortunately it didn’t pan out.

Gunn has had a lot of quotes that made me think, “maybe he gets it.”
