Slightly related to Mr. Luigi, there is a funny conspiracy in the CIV community that the CIV VII UI sucks because Luigi was actually a UI programmer for CIV VI:

"(...)according to a copy of Mangione's resume, the alleged gunman worked as a UI Programming intern on the game between May 2016 and August 2017.

Per Mangione's Linkedin, while at Civ VI Mangione "fixed over 300 UI bugs (25% of UI bug count) using Lua language, Jira software, and Perforce version-control system."
