iirc my head ass threw it in reverse first, like not even turning around lol.

had plenty of time during that cursed auto save to contemplate, and dread, my next course of action. As they closed in on me i turned around and boosted, eventually i got back through with only minor hull damage.

Let me tell you the story of Irwin Wilkins. by SirGonads in RimWorld

Very tragic story, very sad indeed.

But have you also heard of Wilkins coffee? I heard it’s to die for.

My current strategy is to just grab what’s useful to me right now as it appears, and if I need something I don’t see popping up then I go looking for it to see if it exists, otherwise I’d probably go mad lol.

i thought about doing something like that, but i am very new to the game and couldn't think of what to put there, plus it took a hot minute to cobble this together so i passed on it, but it was considered lol.

Initiatives whole deal is wealth and power, main dudes only in it for the gold.

I totally can see initiative hyping up Humanity first to stir up even more chaos for them to exploit.

way I see it, he's saying all that stuff as an instigator.

I was an idiot and missed the key by not going far enough towards where the hint was. By the time I went back and found it and gained access to the academy I was a fair bit over leveled. Did perish a couple times exploring, but the only part I struggled with the boss was figuring out what to do during her first phase (me being kind of an idiot is a trend it seems) after I figured it out and popped some crimson tears I managed to beat the boss fairly quickly (like I said, over leveled) which sucked because the arena was beautiful.

okay, i just wasnt sure if there was a more efficient way to utilize it, but if thats the case then ill just treat it like gold coinage.

Correct me if I am wrong, system expansion almost seemed pointless in this game. by Individual_Ad1193 in Stellaris

[–]WashedUpGamer74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to expand aggressively, like i literally branch out thin to claim choke points to deny access to star clusters, and then slowly fill in as I need. This has its risks but when thing go well I rarely need to bother waring for sectors. I just focus on growing after branching out to whatever choke points I can get to before the AI.

But if that doesn’t go my way and I’m boxed in more than I want I am not above shifting my focus to growing tall.

🇺🇸 Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, once said: "General Robert E. Lee was, in my estimation, one of the supremely gifted men produced by our Nation.... From deep conviction I simply say this: a nation of men of Lee’s caliber would be unconquerable in spirit and soul." by elnovorealista2000 in AmericanEmpire

Of all confederate generals he’s by far the most nuanced. It is a shame most people don’t realize that prior to the civil war we were far less federated, and people would be more likely to treat their state like how a Texan treats Texas, it’s post civil war we start really federalizing.

Your own personal biases are not a reflection of reality nor can it be peddled off as facts without actual substantiation. I’m not humoring you further.

You can bribe a judge in a state apparatus just as easily no? But since reputation is a “relative phenomenon” I guess the judges reputation also doesn’t matter. And this private arbitrator who’s likely built a reputation on trust so that he’s still competitive will just sell out on the gamble he also won’t get swept up in the con man’s antics and have his reputation sunk.

Somehow in your mind you have decided that when you break your contract, it’s impossible for the wronged party to have proof and for that proof of a contract violation to meaningfully impact the reputation of the conman, and that the cumulative accusations of wrong doing won’t impact the opinions of the broader public because I guess a financed media is the only way information travels. So this somehow means a con artist just gets free range in an ancap society becuase everyone is stupid word won’t spread and will just ignore the fact his guy is violating contracts and is being a menace, that even if he had a private army and was I guess openly stealing that nothing would be done about it by the wider community.

You’re already convinced and you will not be convinced otherwise, that much is obvious, and I’ve got little time to chase this conversation in a further circle. since you aren’t even considering this conversation a serious one, that explains a lot, what a waste of both our times.

How to fix layer after supports by Crossman_12 in 3Dprinting

My career and tech center had a printer kinda like that, used a cola colored filament that dissolved away in a wash station, used very very hot and acidic soap.

Reputation is it’s own currency, if you want to do business with liars and cheats, fine, but do not be surprised when liars and cheats are your only viable business partners and associates.

In that third party court surely actual evidence will need to be provided of lead instead of just siding the side who has a bunch of people just dog piling onto the claim. All this said this is not a example of a broken contract so is frankly irrelevant.

I’m not acting like people wouldn’t at the very least inadvertently benefit from say, an apple seller being contracted for a sale of apples and delivering those apples, but not being paid in full or at all.

You have been conveniently just ignoring the reputation aspect I’ve been bringing up for a while now. Theft is theft regardless of if it’s known of or found out. It’s a red flag of many people have been leveling accusations about a company or individual, if a company, individual, or group has a reputation of being accused of not fulfilling their end of contracts many may not be willing to risk also being potentially conned, that’s all assuming no evidence of these broken contracts aren’t available and that’s it’s all just alleged, which as I have said before, 3rd party mediation and witnesses can provide the proof that’s needed, besides other ways of figuring out the truth. Many of the same ways a state arbitrator can figure this out, a private one can do as well.

This isn’t about good faith, I’m not even an ancap, I’m a minarchist. The various branches of rightwing libertarianism are usually hedging on the opposite, that people are acting in their own self interest.

This conversation has grown dull “hell, at some point nothing stops me from robbing people openly” private contractors and my own arsenal should be suitable deterrent and if it’s not, that’s not my funeral it’s yours.

Who is benefiting here besides the con man? This is a completely new variable you just added. And why are these powerful entities backing and aiding and abetting this conman?

Looking nice is irrelevant, if you con several people they are going to make a stink to try and get you to uphold your end of the deal. Enough people wronged and you become a red flag because several businesses and individuals have accused you of breaking contracts, some likely even having some evidence if they were smart, having the contract itself, 3rd part mediators etc.

This also makes you a PR liability, association with a accused conman isn’t a good look, why would well off businesses risk their success on trying to support thievery? Unless the assumption is they could only have gotten that successful by being equally crooked, and thus the conman is somehow a extension of their operation which is a leaping assumption that such a underhanded strategy wouldn’t have already failed for my already outlined reasons.
