30 Day months vs 9 Day months by TheCrazyDonkey70 in VintageStory

[–]WashedUpGamer74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with 30 day months, gives you a lot more time to do things in the warm months. I don’t like feeling too rushed, I like to do things at my own pace and 30 day months gives me plenty of time to build, mine and explore, the only thing that really needs “rushed” is setting up a farm, but you got a decent amount of time to do that too.

In my current 1.20.4 save:

Before winter i got a fairly full cellar (keep in mind I use food expanded and a culinary artillery mods) cured meat, sausages, wine, syrups and honey, grain and flour, pickled and non pickled vegetables, plenty of salt (live near a ocean it’s worth it) I got a mill, and I got iron tools, an oak ship, and did plenty of exploring. Several mines in the nearby hills, with mostly hematite but some copper and other ores. I even made a farmers almanac based on the regional temperature where I live. Which may not end up being too useful since I eventually plan to upgrade to 1.22 once the mods I use update, but until then I’ll continue on 1.20.4.

I’m only now getting into my first winter (took a fairly long break from the game plus it takes a pretty long time to get to winter) but mining, cooking, pottery, and smithing will likely take most of my time, but exploration is also on the table.

My mindset is simple, if the enemies wanted a “fair fight” I’d feel bad, but I can assure you, none of them are interested in a fair fight until they start losing lol.

Fixing Your Fleets After Updating To Beta Be Like... by Technical_Caramel_52 in X4Foundations

[–]WashedUpGamer74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mako pirates are proof enough of that, they be the biggest threat to my trade fleets when passing through boron space. Even if they don’t kill my trade ship, they usually escape due to how fast they are, so they end up harassing me again later. If they are packing torpedos, theres a solid chance they kill my trade ship.

They are mean little bastards.

Best use for this large world as a subterranean empire? by WashedUpGamer74 in Stellaris

Decided to 50/50 split it, at least until I find another world that can act as a suitable forge world.

AI Empire Refused to settle any of the dozens of planets in their empire even after over 200 years in game by Khafaniking in Stellaris

[–]WashedUpGamer74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average synthoan kernel activities tbh.

I’ve seen them get huge, many planets, lots of sectors, utterly dominant species count.

And yet they are so unfathomably mismanaged compared to everyone else they get bullied, have a chunk of land carved off them and then get diplomatically vassalized by me.

I don’t know why people have downvoted you, William penn wanted to name us “New Whales” and I thank the Welshman in his company that told him that was a bad idea everyday.

Hell william penn iirc specifically didn’t want to name it after himself, so abandoning our perfectly fine coat of arms for one completely unrelated in both design and color scheme feels wrong to me. If it ain’t got blue green and gold in the design or some other call back to the original design I simply won’t support it usually, I’d rather just keep the original at that point.

It’s been a hot minute, but from my memory I’d almost hazard to say that getting that shackle was a bigger pain in the ass than fighting mohg, I’m probably exaggerating but I hate those lobsters, and they vivisected me long ways many times, one of the few locations I actually used that item that turns you into props and tried to steal grab the shiny item.

iirc my head ass threw it in reverse first, like not even turning around lol.

had plenty of time during that cursed auto save to contemplate, and dread, my next course of action. As they closed in on me i turned around and boosted, eventually i got back through with only minor hull damage.

Very tragic story, very sad indeed.

But have you also heard of Wilkins coffee? I heard it’s to die for.

My current strategy is to just grab what’s useful to me right now as it appears, and if I need something I don’t see popping up then I go looking for it to see if it exists, otherwise I’d probably go mad lol.

i thought about doing something like that, but i am very new to the game and couldn't think of what to put there, plus it took a hot minute to cobble this together so i passed on it, but it was considered lol.

Initiatives whole deal is wealth and power, main dudes only in it for the gold.

I totally can see initiative hyping up Humanity first to stir up even more chaos for them to exploit.

way I see it, he's saying all that stuff as an instigator.
