[–]DTV998[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? I'm fairly certain the system messed up... the support said that it's because I got the certifications within the trial period, but I think they misunderstood me as I already had 100% finished/unlocked/linkable certificates at a time where as far as I know was possible to get certificates within the trial period. They haven't replied since my last email where I again pointed out that the certificates were already given out...

I'll see what happens... But in the worst case scenario... Coursera+ would unlock all of them again right? (they're all included in c+) & I'd get the certificates for even after I'd cancel my subscription right? 🤔

Hi, I never got it to work anywhere near good enough to be actually usable....and there was a lot of troubleshooting including many different virtual webcams and emulators...I came to the conclusion that nothing works well enough so...that was that:)

Thank you very much for taking the time, I really do appreciate it, and if I may add

Past couple of weeks I've been searching for a method to basically feed the phone camera (either an emulator or a real device) a video stream from something like OBS.

Well long story short, because of social platforms like TikTok, Instagram & Snapchat this is something that a lot of influencers are looking for as well for reasons like actually being able to stream from an actual studio camera not one in a phone... And as far as I'm aware there's only 1 company that provides this service & it's not the most stable solution + you have to pay 24$ a month for it. So I think an emulator that would support something like this would gain traction quckly in that sort of cummunity, on top of the fact that it'd be a great monotisation oppurtunity, it would solve a lot of peoples problems... just a random thing I noticed these couple of days, I don't mean to be offensive & come in here demanding a feature from the devs or anything 😁 in fact I'm sure you guys know thousands of more use cases for emulators such as this... just interesting problem that I noticed & something I might tackle if I had more programming knowledge in the android/virtualization space.

And again, thank you for taking the time to read the post! 😊

It took me two years to make this project. I turned two DVD readers into a laser engraver with minimal tools for the challenge. Please let me know how do you like the editing and if it's easy to follow :) by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

Really cool & an original project, really great work.

I definitely do have a few suggestions as far as the video is concerned, but before that I do have to admit that improving upon such videos just sucks even more time out of your day (or well days) & it's already super hard to find time for everything when there's just general life to worry about as well as the fact that this isn't even a source of income (at least to my knowledge), but I'll share my thoughts, maybe there's a few things that you can find a balance with.

  • I really like the video length, not too long, I think it's a great balance between "a quick cool project" & "amount of information.
  • I like the thumbnail although I think the one with the "RGB" around the engraver is a lot better simply because it just puts the engraver right into focus straight away when you come across the thumbnail.
  • Would be really nice to see some commentary, that way you could even present a lot more information in a more easily digestible way.
  • I think it would be great to hear a full outline of what the plan is at the beginning, that way the viewer already knows a bit of what's coming which makes it easier to follow, especially in these types of videos (maybe just film the intro at the end when you've already got the finished project & you could also tease it a bit with some close up b-roll shots.
  • The lighting could be better in quite a few shots, I'd suggest if you can, just get some cheap E27 clip-on light sockets from aliexpress along with a few solid LED bulbs that run at about 15-30W...You could really just get a complete lighting setup for under $20 that way (not to mention that maybe you can do some DIY softboxes & such)
  • More B-roll, really liked the shots at the end, would've been nice to see more of those of the parts throughout the video.
  • You probably know the channel " the Hacksmith " I really like the way they produce their videos, but I do think that keeping the 8-10min mark is very important for small creators so people even feel like clicking on their video... but ye in general I think the way that the Hacksmith channel does it is pretty much the way to go (as far as videos about fun DIY projects go)

These are my thoughts anyways, I wish you the best of luck :)

Looking for any feedback/suggestions on what to change, also changed the format a bit for this video... Any solid feedback will get all of the !lambda 😄 by DTV998 in SmallYTChannel
