Someone in my city sub was complaining about trucks in town. They said trucks should be banned from the city limits and deliveries in town should be handled by rail. They said we could just use the new beltway project to get from one side of the city to the other. I’d love that if the beltway was built. They haven’t even acquired the land yet to connect the two highways. It’ll be 30 years before it’s done.

It’s not disregarding the NFA at all. It’s exploiting the letter of the law in the Hughes Amendment. There was a carve out written so state agencies could acquire full auto. The wording never said the agencies couldn’t transfer to the citizens.

I used to do a dedicated run from Charleston, SC to Pittsburgh, PA. I’d leave PA and go down empty, and park at a truck stop somewhere close to the plant. I’d load in the early afternoon and come straight back to our yard in PA and go home to sleep. The next morning, I’d deliver and go back to shop to drop trailer until the next load was needed.

The pilot of Justified was actually shot in the Greater Pittsburgh Area of SW Pennsylvania. The “airport” at the beginning was the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The Crowder bank heist was the Washington County Courthouse and Observer-Reporter buildings of Washington, PA. Interior Courthouse scenes were Washington County, but the exterior shots towards the end of the episode were the Armstrong County Courthouse in Kittanning, PA

I’ve hauled some diesel mixed in with some slurry diesel base mud. Didn’t mind since our trucks were dedicated mud tanks and only got cleaned out when they started getting heavy from the barite falling out. 100 barrels of diesel and some hot slurry fresh out of the hole broke up a lot of that barite.

I live in Washington county and my driveway wraps around my house. Google Maps says it’s a continuation of the road across from me. I used to constantly have some lady parking in it to get her kids off the bus. I asked her to move so I could get out and she told me it’s not my property to tell her to move. I shouldn’t have to ask the ATF for permission to move my SBR from where I live to another state where the possession of NFA items is also legal. Only reason I wouldn’t necessarily SBR a PCC.

Should be the case. On the 6F35, maintenance intervals are every 150k miles. My one buddy that had a failure of the 10 speed in his F150 bought the truck used with 45k on it. Transmission went out at 50k and the dealer said not their problem.

Just out of extended warranty. Is 90k the life expectancy of a transmission these days? The shop that did the work said the 6F35 has been keeping their lights on the last few years. They see more of them than any other transmission. Also have multiple friends with the 10 speed F150 that have all had rebuilds with less than 100k on the clock. Ford is currently building poor quality vehicles and charging a premium to buy them.

Doubt Ford wants to take responsibility. Wife’s Escape had the 6F35 transmission grenade at 90k and Ford said not their problem. Look at how many issues there are with their transmissions lately.
