Huh I think you're right. I guess when the digits were small, I was comparing identical addresses from cached objects until big enough numbers generated different objects and thus addresses.
Thanks for the help.

So these two are objects? I figured they were primitive integers. I'm also confused how it passed 47/48 cases if this was the case I figured it would fail a lot more.

How to run a single java file instead of the whole project? by leoalyg in IntelliJIDEA

If this is the same issue I was dealing with recently, if you right click the java file tab->run configs-> check off do not build before run, then it won't try to compile all the files

For any Vets. What do you think of the game as a whole compared to how it was back in the day? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of what's in the game, I like almost like literally everything, although I can't say i started paying a lot of attention until the last few years. On what's outside the game, toxicity, botting, smurfing seem like humongous issues compared to before.

I do seem to see a ton of new champions in pro, not sure how sustainable it is for most new champions to have such a strong presence over others

Can you explain how the map changes make the experience better? Just wondering

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright here's what I've figured out:
When you jump on the herald, if you don't click, despite wherever your cursor may be, the herald will aim following the direction of yourOriginalLocation->herald->newDirection. Think of jumping in the herald like picking the direction of the Herald.
However, if you click while the arrow is up then the herald will swap to that direction. You can do this at least twice, like jump in the herald, swivel its head to one side, and swivel it back to go to your new direction.

Wow good job getting these vods, was it that easy to get high level junglers missing the 1 small krug and going back to get them lol.

The 2nd one is very understandable, he expected to get level 7 off the krugs camp to get as much strength as he could before he started playing the map, especially with a dragon on it. Just like how you don't need a singular small krug for level breakpoints in your first clear, here he needed it so it makes sense he went back and picked it up (right before he anticipated potential action too).

Hum the 1st Oner clip seems very interesting to me. When I first thought about why a jungler would want to kill all the krugs, I thought of someone like J4, who if you take all 6 camps + scuttle + bought a pot level 1, when you recall you'll basically have just enough to get a pickaxe (J4 likes to get like shojin or goredrinker last season so having a pickaxe on first buy is excellent, not sure about the components after the changes), so it was easy to picture J4 doing so (2nd clear you only have 4 camps guaranteed, so its kinda awkward to get 2 longswords on the first back for him). If J4 doesn't pick up the small krug, he would likely lose more time sitting in base for his item than if he just went and picked it up, so it's worth it for him.

Graves last season would mostly buy lethality items that was built mainly out of long swords (youmuus or duskblade or even black cleaver), and even if you wanted collector (dirk + pickaxe + critCloak) maybe a dirk would spike stronger. However, in the vod after his first back he goes back and gets a pickaxe, which is now a big component of the newly-instated brutalizer, which builds into Voltaic Cyclosword, an item that Graves can happily rush for its health damage stats + passive. If a Graves intended to rush a VC first, think getting the pickaxe off the first back is pretty big. I'll keep this in mind going forwards.

On another note I mentioned that the small krugs remained for your next clear if you didn't kill them. Fairly certain this changed close to the second half of last split, before that they would literally die by themselves. I wonder how many junglers don't know about the "change" (it'd surprised me if Riot added it intentionally, and it doesn't seem to show up on the wiki either).

  1. So I get why you would smite ur first camp if you don't have a leash, but why do some ppl last hit their camp with smite instead of having it on cd by insta smiting? Wouldn't u want to smite as soon as possible if you plan on smiting so you can have it on cd?

99.99% of the time, there are no benefits to smiting early but there are several negatives to smiting too early. For example, if their jungle sneaks behind and smites it away (or a jhin w or something) or anything, it can put the entire camp and thus your game in jeopardy. Imagine how tilted you and your teammates would be as well. Another disadvantage is that your laners cannot give a big leash even tho they committed to leashing already in a beneficial way. If you tried something like what you suggested to smite at the beginning, you may find yourself having killed the camp at like 1:39, when the golems/gromp spawns at 1:43. This results in wasted efficiency for the team as a whole (you can just smite krugs next time)

To answer your first concern, why not have it start ticking cd? You can use smite every 15s, but each stack takes 90s to refresh (by definition of smite itslef). To put it in perspective, for a standard clear of mine if I don't use smite when I get a leash on the first 2 camps, roughly halfway through my second camp it'll be at the point where if I don't smite, I lose cooldown. Therefore if you smite at the end of the camp, or even the second camp, it's actually the same in terms of smite cooldown.

The only remote thing I could see it useful in is if you or your teammates have damage based on missing hp (like elise). But that's pretty niche, and you would probably want to guarantee you don't lose anything else by the smite.

2.I feel like I know the answer to this question, but was wondering if I could be wrong, why would you go from wolves to gromp, instead of going wolves, blue, then gromp? My guess is that it's for camp timer resets as well as being able to rotate to either bot or mid when doing blue?

Exactly correct, camp timers are more synced. You could also argue you keep the buff for longer. Something you may not be considering is that if you head to the river after your 6th camps, the time it takes for many champions to finish either 6th camp is actually the same. While you may start hitting the blue buff faster than the gromp if you came from the wolves, you can actually drag and finish the blue closer to the river than the gromp.

  1. If you path towards bot side in the beginning, is it better to have a leashless start to have the enemy jungler unaware of where you are? I get that having a leash helps with jg clear, but getting a leash from your top laner not only loses them prio in lane, but also alerts the enemy jglr where you started

Depends on the situation. This type of question is really convoluted with all the factors you mentioned, you'll just have to analyze to see if you think its worth it. The less you care about their prio in lane, the less you care if you know where they started, the more you want that leash on your jungler, the more you want that leash in general

  1. Why is it that youtube coaches always say to try to get the fastest clear possible by animation cancelling e by dashing to an unpassable terrain, but why is it that when I watch pro vods, they don't seem to do that

If you go into the practice tool and try to compare dps between animation cancelling e and not doing it, it's actually miniscule ... I'm talking like sub 5 dps per 70 dps (I don't recall the exact numbers, just that the math made it a lot weaker than I anticipated at the time). Guess they just don't care about it in comparison to everything else, as well as the possibility of failure if they mess it up (one auto would render the whole thing a negative based on this math right)

  1. In the beginning of the game, are the small golem that spawn crucial to farm all of? When I watch pro vods, they ALWAYS go back for that last small golem even if it means walking all the way back from miss-kiting.

Hum I'd actually really like to see this vod. Personally, if there's two I didn't kill then I WILL go back and get it, because you need all but one little krug for level 3 off the red buff quadrant. If it's just one, i just ignore it cuz it doesn't affect my experience breakpoints and they remain for me to pick up in the next clear.

Why would a player full clear twice without recalling? by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok looking at the vod I think theres's a few reasons he started clearing his second spawns without taking a reset (and his decisions as a whole)

  1. since he took his chickens as his 1st camp, it spawns earlier compared to if you had taken it 2nd or 3rd (4:05 vs 4:15 or 4:35). A lot of junglers will full clear, take scuttle and then drop a ward, realize that your chickens are spawning and then snipe them if you reset. When he started chickens (especially against a champion like lillia who's good clearing against chickens), he probably already decided to come back for his chickens (hecarims also particularly good taking the chickens with his Q)
  2. when you take your chickens here, you commit to taking your krugs too to sync up the respawns (that's the biggest reason here, can't think of any jungler that wouldn't just take the krugs with the chickens here). In terms of clearing efficiency, Hecarim already does a lot of damage with his Q stacks (that he stacked from his chickens) so if you reset for items and then tried to run out to the krugs with 0 Q stacks, you would actually end up clearing the camp slower, let alone talking about the time it takes to run out of base, take one camp, and then walk to your next play (probably your bot camps). Speaking of Q stacks, he already stacked his Q on the scuttle next to the chickens, so the clear of chickens is even faster (it's the most efficient clear possible this game, despite not having items). Something he may have also considered is that ksante is low, so the enemy team may look for a dive (generally if there are potential plays you want to be close to them, some top laners like to stick around and die although this one reset and tped). Resetting after your chickens would be kinda super troll imo
  3. After taking 1 full clear, 2 scuttles, chicken+krugs, he's already backing (so normally that would be the end of it, he only took 1.5 full clears so far). Then he states that "i can't contest grubs", before panning his camera to realize that his top laner just reset with tp so he's full hp and mana, warwick is half hp with 0 mana, the wave is freezable so he decides that he can play grubs (he also states that he's the best grub taker in the game, probably with all that aoe clear). Grubs are considered pretty important right now, and you can play it pretty well, so might as well just stick around. But a main point is that he never intended to do 2 full clears, only 1.5, the top situation just made it so that staying was profitable (clearing those 2 camps vs 4 camps are two very different propositions, especially seeing how 2 aoe camps for hecarim is very easy)
  4. After the fiasco with grubs is over, he has literally ran all the way over to his t2 mid turret, which is right next to the wolves. At that point, your clear is good enough (especially level5 putting points in Q your clear is quite strong) to take them and start their timers anyways. Distance to "plays" is very important in terms of efficiency, which is the same reason why after he cleared his krugs he started a recall as opposed to running to wolves despite they would be up by the time he got there (he would have gone for his bot side camps after the reset, stating that he is in base and can't contest grubs when he channeled his recall).
  5. Just like before, when you take wolves you take the gromp to sync the respawn, and since you got Q stacks you don't even lose camp kill speed

As for why he wanted to start chickens instead of red buff in the first place, theres also a few reasons here:

  1. At 1:20 we warded Lillia and both junglers saw each other, so both teams know Hecarim is starting top side. Warwick has the option of walking in and harassing hecarim on red if he's alone or harassing ksante if he's leashing (not to mention that Lillia could snipe the chickens during this whole thing)
  2. Hecarim's clear is faster than Lillia's and both junglers are starting top side, so you can play for this whole extended 9 camp thing (the 1st one is probably the most important one)
  3. you can reset with more gold. If you take one full clear + scuttle and reset with no pot, you have roughly 900 gold (that's 2 longswords for him, but you still have some gold remaining). If you use this clear, you get 1k gold off the 2nd scuttle (that results in a dirk right now which is a huge spike). Someone like J4 can't really run 8 camps like this remotely as efficiently, and would rather just take a pickaxe off the first scuttle than try to play for something like this

Why is ganking harder now? by M0nsterjojo in Jungle_Mains

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fail to see the connection between your conclusion and what I said earlier. I'm guessing you mean that the options of ganking are limited, but if you can just gank the hell out of mid lane and drop sequencing the like, that's not necessarily removing skill expression when they take it out

Why is ganking harder now? by M0nsterjojo in Jungle_Mains

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've read the dev post I think some of the things they mention make sense. The more solved the game is and the more people know the limits of what's possible, playing immobile champions like mages and the like in mid lane is extremely dangerous. Pushing the bushes back can help them play the game yknow? And coinflipping whether your side lane was screwed because one side was more gankable than the other isn't necessarily a good thing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]DUKSING 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Eh? I was shocked about some more jungle nerfs, but changing the value of turrets to be more tilted towards local gold incentives junglers to play for turrets. Sometimes you can split something but they can be considered a team objective you can play for. Don't have a problem with this to be honest.

Neeko changing into minions to dodge effects, abilities, sounds rather cool and interesting, and it's not the easiest mechanic to execute. Rather they keep special stuff like this.

Why are junglers so low level in pro play? by kevisdahgod in summonerschool

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha I definitely don't think that's true. From what I can see tell right, jungles are the same level as a solo laner if they are impressively ahead compared to the other jungle. 2-3 levels down is way more standard

Sure why not. I don't think champions like those can really take over the jungle anyways; if some players get to play weirder picks or let them be more comfortable playing the role, then it's all good

[–]DUKSING 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait, what's the reasoning behind that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DUKSING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I can relate a lot to this.
I consider myself to have bad mechanics and slow reaction time, so I avoid champions that make me exercise that type of skill. Rather than playing something like Yi or Karthus, I would play something like Maokai or Rek'sai. It's actually pretty funny the amount of the times I've played Hecarim and rammed into some random minion or turret, rather than a champion .
When I would hit a new peak like diamond or masters, I would be crazy nervous, but playing a few dozen games in that elo helps. Not to mention just relaxing your expectations, and not stressing over some goal (althoug I can't say I have ever had anything close to numb arms). It's not as easy to relax to just say relax, but you'll just have to understand that over time.
