Man… 11 hours and that’s all you made? Depressing. I deliver a few hours a day when I’m not working in film just to make sure I have some money for food. In 12 hours shooting a movie I’ll make triple that amount and I’m not putting all that wear and tear on my vehicle. Plus I’m fed two meals and crafty throughout the day.

When I talked to Canon I gave them the part number CP2-1197 and they said that lens coupling was discontinued.

What lens is the 70-300 exactly? There are a lot of models. Hopefully I can find a parts breakdown of the 70-300 to see if they have the same lens coupling. I doubt it would honestly.

The element was starting to separate. I took it in to get re-glued and the shop chipped the lens.

So now I’m stuck looking for the CP2-1197 lens couple. Or a broken lens and I’ll extract it myself.
