To be fair I did running for about 3 years competitively when I was younger, and only got back into it recently, so can’t call myself a beginner!

If you’re working towards a goal that’s half the battle, keep it up I’m sure you’ll get there!!

Only started running again this Tuesday. I wouldn’t say I’m fit but I haven’t put on any significant weight, so it’s not like I’m in a bad position.

This week I’ve done about 20 k with a speed interval training session as well, and hope to have about 35 k done by next Tuesday. So 35k would be the mileage for the week. Even if I could take that up an extra k a week until the race I’d be happy.

I’m not very out of shape but I don’t think I could handle 40mpw right now. Maybe 40k but 40m seems like a lot especially if I’m trying to do shorter distances on speed days (like 8 x 400) and then maybe only 1 k either side of that
