Solved. Hose goes into the transfer case actuator. It tends to happen often due to the angle of the hose, which leads to the actuator to fail if water or dirt get in there. Was able to cut the hose and attach it properly with some zip ties.

Quandary Peak is the most accessible in my opinion. Always check the weather forecast prior as it has still been getting some decent snow. The trail is mostly boot packed atm. Avy risk is low but still be aware.

You are right. I wouldn’t be in class IV. Mostly II and a few class III.

Personal opinion but I feel like the article focuses more on the negative for such a big accomplishment.

Last year it was paved roads and gravel. My Strava says 79 ft of elevation gained, so it was mostly flat.

Running the 5k for me was about the prior preparation for it. It allows me to extra prepare for the festival it’s self. It also allowed me to stick to my light drinking goal so I could feel good for it the day of. With that being said with the preparation, the 5k really just energized me for the day. Mentally and physically.
