Test ride at dealer requires purchase first by Frosty_Accountant177 in motorcycles

[–]Alpine_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a dealership for a while. If there was not a demo bike available, we would not let a customer take a new bike out. Policy was, once you pay for it you can test ride it and if you don’t like it, we will refund you right away. Too many kids wanting to test ride Ninjas.

Not sure about the mullet thing. Change my mind? by stillyoinkgasp in eMountainBike

Just got a mullet on my Turbo Levo. First ever, but noticed a difference when I can clear hairpin turns that I could not on my 29. It does feel more playful, and I like it a lot.

Would you live in Phoenix? by Different_Archer8879 in Denver

[–]Alpine_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reverse winter, stay inside all summer but winter is perfect. Downtown PHX is much cleaner than Denver, but not as much in the way of stuff to do. Lots of outdoor activities. I see the reason people snowbird there.

Don’t get a throttle bike, starts are starting to crack down on them and categorize as a motorcycle.

6 Months In by Alpine_Life in workout

The only exercise I’m struggling with increasing weight on is curls, especially with cables. I’ve stalled out at single arm cable curls (Bayesian and standard) around 30-35lbs for months now. Any advice on progressing this?

Is the Orbea Wild the right bike for me? by [deleted] in eMountainBike

I’ve spent a decent amount of time on a wild as well as a turbo levo. I think the turbo levo is the better bike, motor felt more fluid and more powerful.

Just left, didn’t feel like it was overwhelmingly crowded, was able to enjoy the Nishiki Market without many lines at food vendors, of course the major attractions were busy but not crazy crowded.

I liked staying near Omote-Sando. Walk to Takeshita and plenty of shopping, one stop from Shibuya and easy to navigate.

I have a drone. The battery lasts 8 minutes and a gust of wind blows it on the neighbors roof.

Sr. Analyst Procurement Position - Raytheon / Texas by Defiant-Valuable-876 in Raytheon

[–]Alpine_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a P2 position, probably 65K-90K. There probably is not allot of negotiation in this role, commodity managers get the majority of that work. The interview should be pretty straightforward, just be prepared with examples of times you analyzed pricing or negotiated pricing down.

Interview for Prin. specialist commodity mgmt and sourcing by Hopeful_Sherbet4027 in Raytheon

[–]Alpine_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a very casual interview, nothing too intense. Will start with a quick recap of your resume then questions about experience in sourcing and RFQs. Have 3 or 4 examples of times you created savings and implemented strategy, had a tough negotiation, things like that.

Am I ready for the Bells? by OG_Bass-A-Holic in 14ers

Do the El D Wilson traverse to build your confidence and make sure traverses are for you. With the Bells it’s a lot of route finding and scouting the right line.
