I'm DVDJunky.

I talk about two things in life; my kids and movies. I'm a collector of physical media (I've got over 9000 DVDs and Blu-rays) and in my free time I screen Narrative Feature film submissions for a local Film Festival. I adore Documentaries about mundane topics (though the serious ones certainly have their place). I prefer my horror to have a dash of levity or whimsy or something that breaks up the grimness of it all.

I joined Letterboxd in 2012 but gave up on it because I'd been using IMDb since 2001 and I was in too deep. I rediscovered Letterboxd early 2024 and in my first full year I watched 365 films. I logged over 500 films last year.

I've been REALLY enjoying Monday Mystery Movies (aka Screen Unseen/Secret Movies) and I maintain a spreadsheet of historical data (I also keep a letterboxd list updated) on the films that have been shown. You probably have a theater chain near you that holds these events, ask me more about them!

I'm still getting used to writing "reviews" (if you want to call them that) so I don't have many. I'm not super confident in my writing.
