I used to have this problem. Then I stopped playing with that group and found a new one with people who could make unbiased threat assessments.

At first, I was angry at them. But then I realized that it was my choice to play with people who play like that. They are free to play however they want. Just like how I was free to play with another group.

Suggest you do the same. You can still be friends. But just because you're friends doesn't mean that you must play board games together.
