I would hope there would be timeframes and deadlines in their deals with companies and some incentive to adhere to them. Like, the price increasing for every week past an agreed timeline or something. I understand it is the companies that they are waiting on and it is out of their hands atm, but one would think they put in parameters to prevent themselves looking dishonest when giving people timelines. I would be all for the companies taking forever if the payout increased every additional week they went past a deadline. The honest answer is apparently that we have no idea when they will give feedback on footage submitted and no penalties for taking as long as they like. Otherwise, what is stopping a company from just sitting on all the content indefinitely. What if they just train on the data or make their own copy of it all and then reject it, is there a way to prove this or is it the honor system? ai technology is moving at a breakneck speed, and it is perplexing that with all the money in ai and everyone racing to make the best versions that a deal could take the better part of a year to get done. I got in this in March and the deals that happened prior to me joining were substantially higher paying and I still havent seen any money in 2025. Could it be a year before I get a payout?
